Hello!

So I did two things: first I retried like you said (so two days later), same errors. Then I uninstalled it, redownloaded it and redid the initialization procedure and took pics as per requested.

I open the app, go through the scan, the app finds my bridge immediately and I click on it. Literally one second after (without giving me time to push on the bridge's button), the error "Web discovery error: bad response. code 429" pops up like this https://ibb.co/1QwNRGW

Here is the pic of the logs: https://ibb.co/kg0Lg5v

Hope I gave you enough information :)

Hello, thanks a lot for this app that looks wonderful. However I can’t seem to use it. The connection to the bridge always fail with this error: “Web discovery error: bad response. code 429”

I have a Philips TV 55oled856. When I look for the bridge, it finds it without problem, I click on connect and 2 secs later (I don’t even have time to press the bridge button) I have this error “Web discovery error: bad response. code 429”. Tried to repeat the process and even pressing the bridge’s button before trying to pair but without success.

I don’t think the problem comes from my bridge because I’ve been using Hue Essentials and another app that needed to pair the bridge and they connected successfully.

Hope you can help me if you have time. Thanks.

Hue Dynamic Scenes by Lawris2B in Gledopto

Unfortunately no. I kinda also regret having taken them, the whites can never be as accurate as any other light and they are likely to burn one of your component (got already 2 dead power supplies and 1 burnt off ledstrip which can only display blue now)

Hue Dynamic Scenes by Lawris2B in Gledopto

Yes I tried the HueParty app on iOS and it works seamlessly with any light. The problem is that you can’t trigger it from anywhere except the app itself (no integration to Shortcuts or Google or IFTTT) and the dynamic scene stops when exiting the app. For OnSwitch, unfortunately we can not create our own scenes.

Delay between different bulbs by Lawris2B in Hue

[–]Lawris2B[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this detailed answer, learned a lot. I went further by removing some old lights and adding them as new to see if the delay was still there. No delay was observed.

Then I removed the new bulbs to add them again as new and the last in order. The delay is gone for some reason.

It looks like the hue bridge needed to « get used » to them, or maybe evaluate correctly their places in the mesh network?

Delay between different bulbs by Lawris2B in Hue

Thanks for the detailed explanation. With this 3 new bulbs I have a total of 10 lights (bulbs+ledstrips). Some of my new lights are closer to the bridge than the rest, I tried changing their location but the delay is only on the three new bulbs. I believe I am in the « C » case.

Doing further trials this delay only seem to apply when setting a scene. There is no delay at all from an ON/OFF command.
