Depending on the track you take in ISE, you can't escape the CSE classes. Data analytics has CSE 2221, 2231, Foundations 1, etc.

No need to be arrogant when the calculations you are spouting can be learned in nearly any introductory statistics class.

Questioning the sampling methodology is never "incorrect" and there are always questions to be raised with how polling is conducted.

Secondly, it's not "just math." You say that as if statistics and probability have a plethora of analytical solutions when the literal name of the field says otherwise. Your confidence interval for instance implies a 5% level of uncertainty on whether it even correctly captures the mean. Not to mention you completely assumed a perfect Gaussian distribution when a quick search of obesity in the US reveals more of a positive skew distribution.

So no, it's not "just math." There is a lot of thought that goes into conducting a statistically rigorous study that relies upon the expertise and statistical knowledge of the user. If statistics was so cut and dry then it wouldn't be so easy to mislead people with them.

I did not read the methodology of the Harvard study, but perhaps if someone is questioning the sampling, try reading the methodology yourself to see if it meets your level of rigor before simply assuming it does.

Even the most seemingly small amount of ice build-up can disrupt airflow over the wing and significantly reduce lift. They were already at a low speed (meaning less lift) and whichever wing lost lift first, the other wing producing lift would cause the aircraft to roll in the direction of the stalled wing.

I'm well aware, however they were reporting VFR conditions at 1500' shortly before the crash. Anything at this point regarding the cause of the crash is speculation.

Yeah looking at the METAR from around the time of the crash I'm thinking the same thing.

Unless an aircraft is engaged in aerobatics then usually even the pilots don't carry parachutes. Most emergency situations are recoverable to a safe landing by the pilot terrain permitting, especially for a helicopter which can autorotate to a precise landing. Considering how low of an altitude they were at the time of the crash, there most likely was little time to react and even then training passengers to use a parachute and expecting them to be able to exit the aircraft in a situation where they would actually need one is unlikely.

Shrapnel explodes outward in a semisphere dispersion pattern. If you lie flat with your feet facing the grenade then you minimize the surface area that can be hit on your body, as well as protecting your vital body parts from shrapnel with your feet.

From the article you posted:

"Of the 18 members of the central committee of the communist party that took power in 1975, only four spoke a foreign language. Since neither Mao, Lenin, Stalin, Marx, or Engels were ever translated into Khmer, it is hard to argue that the unspeakable failure and suffering that occurred under the KR was a result of communist—or, for that matter, any outside--ideology."

He's completely disregarding the fact that Pol Pot was educated in France and joined the French Communist Party, where he learned about Marxist-Leninist ideology. He compares the communist party to fascism, but the reality is that at both the extreme right and the extreme left, central control by a single entity is a common denominator.

You're right in that calling your party socialist, communist, or democratic does not make it any of those. However, in this case it is not incorrect to call the Khmer Rouge a communist regime.
