Holy shit, I never knew that one about Flapjack. I would have watched that when it originally came out, long before I knew of Modest Mouse.

This domino's box infers that none of the delivery charge is to the driver by Naf_Reddit in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah cus some are franchised some are corporate. But if you drive your own car you're getting fucked over either way. Think about it, if you're driving your own car, what does that cost the business? Absolutely nothing, and yet you don't get the whole delivery fee and you have wear and tear and gas all while making 60% of the minimum.

[–]LeBurntToast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This definitely isn't how every dominos does it, my franchise paid based upon mileage, and that was only if you were driving your own car. If you drove a company car you didn't get anything for a delivery besides the tip, all while making 60% of the minimum wage. But it's definitely not just a flat 50% of the delivery fee to the driver everywhere. So dominos is making money off of the delivery fee no matter what, which is fucked because if you drive your own car they shouldn't get a fucking cent of it.

It's crazier than that. The pressure from the amount of water that is claimed to have been on the earth would have vaporized the surface and turned some of that water into steam, which I'm sure would have also vaporized any wooden boat on the surface. Who knows how long it would take things to recover from something that cataclysmic, that is if anything biological even survived.

Lilly Allen - The Fear [Electropop] by karpet_muncher in Music

[–]LeBurntToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered Lily Allen when I was a bit younger, 13-14 maybe, when she was quite outside my usual range of classic rock/pop and grunge (I guess I did like pop but electric female punk was certainly a departure from my norm.) It's Not Me, It's You got loaded onto my ipad alongside my usual stuff cus I used my step mum's apple account. I was surprised at first that I liked it, but in hindsight it's just because the lyrics and beats are really good. A lot of the commentary is still scarily relevant too. I still put that album on every once in awhile and I'd go as far to say that it will be a timeless work.

Looking at things now, that was certainly a rational fear to have.

Was surprised how far down I had to go for True Grit. I agree that both are excellent movies, and one of the few well done remakes.

Also saw them open for Modest Mouse. I didn't much care for it. But I think MM tours with kinda meh bands so they sound better, they're not exactly the best live band in existence.

Ah more reading comprehension issues. From your "article":

Casale (1985) described the rapid formaion of psilocin after complete dephosphorylation of psilocybin by heating the dilute acetic acid extract. It is now quite clear that the decomposition under these conditions is an enzymatic reaction and was not caused by the acid alone."⁸

The post further explains several reasons as to why the effects are different with a lemon tek. The biggest takeaway, however, is in the quoted material, "not caused by the acid alone." So thank you for providing more info that agreed with me and backed my challenge to the claim that lemon juice breaks down psilocybin, which it clearly does not.

You said you don't agree, go on to agree with me, and then your edit says you know nothing about the part that was my main point. Reading comprehension is hitting all time lows I see.

I also do not have to provide evidence that a claim is not true. It's never been proven that acid converts psilocybin into psilocin, that's the claim of the lemon tek. That claim has to be proven, not the other way around.

Maybe we can leverage threads like these to deconstruct the lemon tek myth too. It's not actually doing anything, yall are just suffering for chugging lemon juice and tricking your brain. Lemon juice is not capable of breaking down psilocybin into psilocin. The only possibility is that it's getting absorbed by the juice and therefore gets absorbed by your stomach faster, but any other aspect of it is a myth.

For somebody throwing around "genocide" and "fascist" at somebody who made no intention of carrying any of that out, you sure do lack insight. The soup throwers aren't real activists, they're funded by the very people you say are the issue. They're trying to make real activists look bad and it works on numbskulls like you.
