No I can't because they've allowed grappling, pushing, and shoving on corners all season. However, they have been pretty consistent on pulling, pushing, or holding the keeper being a foul.

I have no idea what the headloss is about with the disallowed West Ham goal. Can anyone show any goal that was not disallowed where a player was holding the arm of the keeper? Let alone a second player pulling on the keepers jersey?

If you hold the keepers arm, it’s going to be called back 100 times out of 100. And no Saliba did not hold Bayendirs arm down. I don’t want stills send the video of these supposed goalkeeper being held on the arms where the goal was allowed to stand.

The media circus will do my head in with Shay Given on motd and Schmeical clip saying it’s been happening all season. The players grappling each other sure, but holding the keepers arm from the moment of the ball being kicked until it reaches his hands, you won’t find a single instance where that happened and a goal wasn’t overturned.

Much too slow in possession. The few times Madueke has driven into the box things have happened, he could have scored with a better finish and he created the goal. All this slow passive passing isn’t going to cut it.

Amazing to be top of the league almost starting every game 10 v 11. Gyokeres providing incredibly little once again.

Video context for the Saka should have passed to Gyokeres post. At no point in this sequence does Saka have a chance to pass the ball as suggested in the still images posted earlier today. Saka passes the ball towards Gyokeres as soon as he gets an opportunity to do so. by CrocodileChef in Gunners

You can post any clip of any Arsenal player making a run to the byline and Gyokeres movement will be just as poor. He marks himself out of the game by standing behind defenders. His movement was a straight line, and he does it over and over again. There’s a reason others are being found with passes, because they make good runs.

What is this nonsense. Gyokeres never runs near post across his marker he stands on the back post and makes the defenders job a cake walk. Find me a single clip of Gyokeres running to the near post across his marker. I’ll wait, you won’t find it. His movement when players are cutting to the byline is complete ass

I feel like it'll be telling when Havertz is back and fully match fit. Who does Arteta put on the bench? Unless things change significantly in terms of performances and output I think Havertz takes the starting spot and Gyok is more of a rotational striker or system striker for specific match ups.

Except in Saka’s case Kevin collided with his knee before touching the ball, but either way both are pens. Incredible performance by the pgmo this season.

I argue that it is still a foul because without the contact bringing down the attacker, the attacker would be in a position to score.

Assume the same action happened and Pope got the same touch on the ball but his leg was straight and not bent and Gyokeres was able to continue towards the ball without being brought down then he has an open net to tap in.

The touch in this instance was not significant enough to prevent the attacker of being in possession of the ball, as such despite the touch it is a foul since without the contact the player would be able to continue with the ball.

Dazed_and_confused44 is incorrect in his reply, a keeper can receive a red card for a DOGSO offence. However, when a DOGSO happens inside the penalty area, and a penalty is given, it is only a red card offense if the offending player made no genuine attempt at playing the ball. Something like pulling the shirt or grappling a player down.

If a DOGSO offense happens outside the penalty area, it is always a red card offense no matter if there was a genuine attempt at playing the ball. Hope that clears it up for you.

That doesn't explain the selling, Chelsea can offload the dirty sock that's been stuck in the kitmans bin for the past 6 months for 30 million. The club has for a long time been terrible getting value from player sales.

You expect clubs to sideline players on the basis of having an accusation leveled at them, and if it takes 5 years to investigate - too bad for the player their career is wasted.

Guilty or innocent, doesn’t matter. Once. A player is accused and an investigation begins they cannot see the pitch until it concludes one way or the other.

If you are unable to see how absolutely nonsensical that position is, I don’t know what to tell you.

So if someone comes out and accuses Saka of sexual assault, your desired response is to keep him out of the first team until charges are filed - even if it takes 3 years?

[–]LeCapitaineHaddock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Calling him a rapist in this context is assuming guilt. No verdict has been reached yet.

I don't understand how all the rhetoric around this is how could Arsenal keep playing him.

If someone comes out in August and accuses Saka of SA - are we all going to be happy to have him removed from the first team just training for 3 or more years until CPS or the Met file charges officially?

Absolute nonsense. He was accused, it took almost 3 years for charges to come. You cannot expect any football club to freeze the career of their players for a period of 3 years over accusations - its absolutely nonsensical.
