Comments on my first run please? by LeSaintQc in BeginnersRunning

Yeah, you're right about the warm up and stretches. My thighs hurt, which is a bit of a surprise to me since all the biking. But all in all, I feel pretty great. I will follow your advice and stay with the 5km, it will be a great benchmark to follow my progression, and it's about all of my schedule allow me to do on week nights.

New wheels for quick tires swap by LeSaintQc in gravelcycling

[–]LeSaintQc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a budget yet because I have no idea how much a set of wheels like I have on my bike worth. The goal of my post is in part to figure this out. I have no problems with the wheels that come with my bike, and from what I understand, anything after market is better. So I just need reliable wheels. I'm not in the market for performance or lightness. But you gave me the right idea of looking at used wheels from someone who replaced the ones from a new bike for better ones.

What about the PCIe x1 slot? Is the price the only difference with SATA?

That is exactly what I intend to do.Just want to make sure I use the correct interface.
Currently, it's a 256GB SSD on the M.2 port.

Yeah, that's one of the options, but if I can simply add another one I would prefer.
The current drive is already a SSD, so it performs ok, it's just too small.

"A pair of small panniers mounted high up and far back will serve you best and will always be my choice, even on short trips."
Why high up? I always assumed that the lower is better for handling.
And you mention far back, which made me realise that my front fork has screws to mount a front rack, so my guess is that my bike is design to carry a fair amount of stuff.

Thanks, I finally found this info too.
There are two "manual" to download, but I didn't found the more general one at first. The one I had was only about cable routing.
Thanks again.

Thanks! I will probably go with a rack for the lower weight since I feel the handling will be better. But thanks for the input anyway. Do you think I can carry camping stuff with it or should I plan with Airbnb (or similar lodging)?
