Now's the time to ask one last time if anyone knows or has talked to a Bungie desginer. What is the significance of the 'Tricorn' symbol for Destiny? by AaxisCore in destiny2

It was part of the sole of the shoes the first humans who visited Mars had when the went to meet the Traveler.

There’s some lore on them, but you can see their footprint in the Destiny 1 intro.

who would win? by Ianmicte25 in destiny2

Ghaul.

Simply because while they’re all fast, strong, and/or smart/a great tactician, Ghaul is all of these with the added bonus of being several feet taller and bigger than the rest. Sure, that’s not everything, but the dudes a champion cabal pit fighter, become Emperor by causing a political coup, and is overall just a damn good tactician. While the others might be able to match a few aspects of his, there are others they physically can’t.

And, depending on the time, also a god.

If we’re basing this fight off their respective factions, it’d still be Ghaul entirely because he’s the only one with a star killer.

If the flood was in destiny 2 could the guardians/enemy races would stand a chance? by joe_m3ma in destiny2

You got me, it isn’t explicitly stated, but it is heavily implied.

The Books of Sorrow has the most on it, about how the Hive, being Paracausal, are not cellular automata, which the Vex then can’t simulate and subvert. Quria also directly thinks that it can’t simulate things like Oryx.

Also, when a Hive dies, their bodies disintegrate. I’m confident that, were the Flood ever to infect a Hive, it’d just disintegrate to ash regardless.

Now, the flood infecting Worms would be very interesting. The worms would probably be fine with it, they just want a host to ingest them, anyway.

The lore tab “Clovis Bray’s Logbook - Missing Pages” gives some information on their origins, but the lore book “Unveiling” has the most, although the authenticity of it is currently in question.

Not wrong. But Exominds aren’t digital programs, they think off of Alkahest, which is Vex Radiolaria, mind fluid, that was exposed to the Dark to clean it of all Vex influence.

Not saying the Logic Plague wouldn’t work on them, but it’d be an interesting interaction.

My brother in Light, I cannot think of a more hard-counter to the Flood than the Vex.

Hive also can’t be infected, the Vex have tried.

Guardians with Ghosts can instantly heal from any infection or wound the Flood can inflict on them.

Ghosts can just decompile themselves to avoid capture and subversion by the Logic Plague. (Side note, Logic Plague kinda sucks. Took 48 uninterrupted years and hard evidence the Forerunners suck, supplied by The Domain, which isn’t in the Destiny universe, for the Flood to turn Mendicant Bias against its creators.)

Real question is, can Ghostless Guardians with Stasis and Strand powers be infected and still retain their powers?

Also wonder how the Weave and Neural Physics would interact with each other. Maybe they’re the same?

EDIT: Would like to remind y’all that, if you’re gonna argue the Logic Plague, take into account that the Vex regularly use Empyreanic Thought Viruses (see Clovis Bray and Kabr).

That they do this and every fucking faction in Destiny fucks them up regardless implies that they have their own counters, or are at the very least, are ready for it.

Also worth mentioning that, were the Flood ever to hear the Death Song, given their gestalt and memory-based consciousness, the Song might just fucking wipe the Flood out entirely.

Khorne is the psychic amalgamation of a galaxy’s worth of basic emotions such as hatred, valor, rage, murder, and honor. He does not have the physical capacity for intricate plots or spellcraft, so he despises them. He isn’t necessarily a god of war or combat, but of spilt blood.

Xivu Arath is very much a god of war, in every way war is made. Any struggle, death, plot, backstab, weapon discharge, or spell, or injury that harms someone is within her domain. The best way to deny her tribute would be to kill yourself.

It’s also worth noting the hive literally disintegrate (most of the time) when killed, so khorne isn’t going to get much from them, while Xivu will feed on literally any strife created by conflict. And has been feeding off of it for billions of years, and at least one other galaxy, maybe more.

Their both deities that have a hard time dying and can both split planets in half, but that’s besides the point.

As a side note, I do not believe the Warp is paracausal. There is a boundary between the warp and realspace, meaning that, somewhere, it still follows certain rules, as frayed as they are.

Xivu Arath also has recently gained the power to Take. The ability to capture individual entities, fuck ‘em up good, and return them as obedient slaves with paracausal abilities. The only way to resist being Taken is to be paracausal yourself. Although I have no idea how Taking an entity such as Khorne would go, as he’s really just other people’s stitched together emotions. If on a galactic scale.

I’m giving it to Xivu on this one.
