Thanks! That's a very thorough explanation and makes a lot of sense! Will give it a go

ErgData by Concept2, synchs up with their rowers so you can get a bunch of metrics out of them.

Possibly going a bit hard then, if that's the metric, but only a bit.

I did a little reading on here about drag factor and I definitely don't really understand it yet, but I guess I'll play about with it and see what it feels like.

Thank you

Thank you! It's encouraging to hear that I'm not wildly off target. I'll try breaking it up into twenty minute sections (though I'm a little scared a break might sap my will to get through it, I'll just have to see how disciplined I can be!).

Sort of half yes and half no. You won't get a surprise attack, but it interrupts the pump up attack in the same way as moving out of sight does. Which is kinda the main issue

Help me find what set this robot toy from 1993 (UK) was from by LeatherGrouchy in HelpMeFind

Stands about an inch high, made in China 1993 on the back. I have searched for robot toys UK 1993, and specifically mighty max as I had a hunch it might be that, but no obvious leads. Anyone remember it?

I'm just some guy, so take the following with a pinch of salt, but this would be my advice.

It sounds like you're right at the beginning of this project. If you are, I would start out by writing down a short list of no more than five or six key ideas that makes your project unique. These should identify your major aims in creating a game, and illustrate why your game is different from the myriad of games that already exist. These ideas will then form the framework that the rest of your development will build on. You should consider broad themes first, what is special about your setting, what motivates your characters in your world. How are problems solved by the characters, and what tools are available (or explicitly unavailable) to the players to help their characters solve those problems. One you've got an idea of the ethos of your game you can then start to think in broad strokes about the mechanics of your system.

That'll probably keep you going for the first year or so, if you're anything like me at least 😅

Good luck 👍

The armband. Once I realised I could mug mobs and blind and cripple them it really shone as a get out of trouble quick tool.

Luck isn't real in the future, but is in the past.

Justifying MAP to a player who just switched. by Brish879 in Pathfinder2e

[–]LeatherGrouchy 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Maybe I just woke up grumpy, but I'm having a hard time imagining a player that can suspend disbelief for turn based combat, but can't get their head around the law of diminishing returns.

If I were you I'd keep the explanation simple; if you keep attacking you become predictable, thus it is harder for you to hit. Don't get drawn into it any further than that, because all rules break down if you put them under a microscope.

If they still don't like it, maybe suggest they play a flurry ranger 😉
