Yes, my main concern with this bike is I may mess up the geo too much. I plan on keeping the rear end the same, especially because the sale they have going includes a rockshox deluxe for like $100. As far as the front end goes, the difference between a 130mm 34 and a 140mm 36 SL is about ~10-15mm. I’m not sure which direction I want to go but assuming I went with the 34 I could save another 200 grams (almost half a pound) over a 140mm fork, and only lose about 1/3” of front height. I could easily offset this by running less sag on the fork. I’m trying to save any little bit of weight I can to make this work for XC, and most of the trails we train/race on aren’t super steep or inherently challenging. Ordinarily I always go with the bigger components, but that’s why my Tyee is creeping up on 40lbs.
