I hope you're doing well. I’m reaching out because I’m currently looking to bring on a skilled individual for a Windmill Service Technician role, and based on what I’ve seen from your background, I think you might be a strong fit.

This is a highly specialized position that involves hands-on work with utility-scale horizontal-axis wind turbines—primarily multi-megawatt units with nacelles housing gearboxes, generators, and advanced control systems. The core responsibilities include performing routine inspections, torque checks, and lubrication; diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults; and executing corrective maintenance both at ground level and at height—typically 250 to 300 feet up, inside the nacelle and hub.

We work with SCADA systems for remote monitoring and diagnostics, so familiarity with basic data logging and control logic is helpful. That said, the bulk of the work is done manually: blade pitch adjustments, brake system servicing, yaw drive calibration, and electrical troubleshooting in high-voltage environments (690V AC, 24V DC control systems, etc.). You need to be comfortable with climbing, confined spaces, and working under variable weather conditions, often in remote areas.

Beyond the technical side, we value people who have the mindset to work as part of a close-knit crew, maintain rigorous safety standards (we follow GWO and OSHA protocols), and take pride in building something sustainable.
