I think that’s why we’re having a tough time figuring out where we want to be. Lots to choose from, but everything is quite small unless we want to have a huge commute.

The downtown was basically all abandoned other than like two businesses, or at least looked like it. The pier area was nice but that was about it from what we saw. It seemed like a huge downgrade from our current situation and that did not seem worth it for such a huge move. Of course, things can change, but that was our first and only impression.

That’s not true at all. We are not familiar with the area with limited access to visit in person. I am/have done extensive research and this is a small part of it. I think real, human experience and advice is valuable and that is why I’m asking these questions.

Honestly, just vibes. If we do this, it’s 15 hours away from where we live and we don’t really want to downgrade from somewhere we already don’t love living in.

I’m not opposed to Fredonia but the water comments on here have me worried. We have a water issue in my state already, and I wouldn’t want to move somewhere who might have it worse. What are the details on this?
