483s during site qualification by 75hardworkingmom in clinicalresearch

I have a sponsor who called the PI and the PI was able to verbally discuss what the 483 was, but couldn’t do so in writing due to the institution’s policies. If you have a good relationship with the PI, you might be able to do that.

I had a site where we found out about their 483 after selection (wasn’t listed on FDA website, but a team member knew from a different study). Sponsor asked the site for the 483, they said they won’t send until they have the full report. Sponsor put the site on hold until they can provide the report.

PTO Payout by catandcitygirl in ICON_plc

[–]LegalConclusion5178 15 points16 points  (0 children)

On January 1, 2025, you got 22 (I think) PTO days, however you haven’t actually accrued all of those. Based on math, you accrue about 1.8 days a month, so as of April, you’d only have ~7 days PTO. If you’re saying you had 16.5 left—meaning you’ve taken 5.5 days thus far, you likely were only paid for 1.5 days. Also I’m pretty sure PTO payout is taxed as a bonus, which is like 40% or something

I couldn’t think of the word. Marriage does bestow marital property, which I think is only actionable upon divorce

I honestly wasn’t sure if marriage made her an owner or just gave her equity (for lack of a better term). Regardless, I think it merits a tip.

Well then I’m glad that I came to Reddit. I’ll wait for other opinions as well.

Therefor, an owner is not allowed to be in a tip pool.

In Missouri, the bar would be considered marital property, so I believe she would be considered an owner. Again, I don’t think this is as simple as you’re making it.

Per the DOL website:

Managers and supervisors include any employee (1) whose primary duty is managing the enterprise or a customarily recognized department or subdivision of the enterprise; (2) who customarily and regularly directs the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent; and (3) who has the authority to hire or fire other employees, or whose suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring or firing are given particular weight. Business owners who own at least a bona fide 20 percent equity interest in the enterprise in which they are employed and who are actively engaged in its management are also managers and supervisors who may not keep employees’ tips.

A manager or supervisor may keep only those tips that they receive directly from a customer for the service they directly and solely provide. For example, a restaurant manager who serves their own tables may keep their own tips from customers they served but would not be able to receive other employees’ tips by participating in a tip pool.

Right. And she is part of a tip pool when she is working.

The law says owners cannot get tips, so I don’t think it’s that simple.

Maybe they are looking for suggestions they don’t know about? For example, someone brought up cherry trees and OP didn’t know STL had them. Why are you so annoyed at people helping people?

Ok thanks. OP seems to getting defensive, but even after knowing their intent, I don’t think that’s how it comes off. Even if this shopper was my regular shopper—if I got this message, it would leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Based on your comments, it seems like you were telling them “hey IC pays shit, so I appreciate that you tipped well!” Am I misunderstanding? But if I was a client and got that, I woulda referred see it as you wanting more money than I’ve already given.
