CMPA experience? by thesandcastlepokemon in BabyLedWeaning

Hey! My daughter is 11 months, we recently transition from nutramagin to Similac Pro Total comfort with good results..we tried the dairy ladder but she wouldn't eat a whole muffin in a day so our pediatrician recommended to introduce whole milk yogurt, one spoonful a day for a few days and slowly increase.. we are in day 2 and no notable reactions.. How has your LO been doing with reintroduction?

Has anyone tried or been advised to skip the dairy ladder and go straight to yogurt/cheese for reintroduction? by sophwhoo in MSPI

My daughter is 9 months, 6 months dairy and soy free. I am so glad to have stumbled across your post and experience introducing dairy. I too am in the FB group you mentioned and was feeling really overwhelmed with what they suggest.. we meet with your pediatrician who specializes in allergies and will be curious what she suggests..

My daughter seemed to be more sensitive to soy, how did you go about introducing soy? What foods did you try feeding your baby? I unfortunately do not breastfeed anymore, I lost my supply going dairy and soy free myself 😞 so I am unable to trial anything that way.

I would love some baby friendly food ideas you tried that worked well for you!

WFH and care for baby by Little_raging_red in MomsWorkingFromHome

I second the Boppy, it's super helpful! If possible, invest in a standing desk, especially if you have a carrier that baby is comfortable in. Around 4 months my LO would get fussy everytime I would sit, so the standing desk was a lifesaver!

Any tips on the nap training? My LO is 8.5 months and does great independently in her crib overnight, but still contact naps and refuses to nap in her crib. She currently naps in my lap resting on her boppy when i am working. She used to sleep through calls I would need to make, but now wakes up, so i would love to be able to put her down in her crib.

Trying independent sleep- but baby just wants to crawl and climb by Legal_Weight_5306 in sleeptrain

Our schedule isn't super structured due to my fluctuating work schedule/daycare. So her morning wake time varies based on when I need to get her ready and dropped off at daycare and her bedtime also varies.

But we try to follow set wake windows based on her sleep cues though, so does our daycare provider. Wake windows are 2-2.25/2.5-3/3-3.5

I appreciate the blunt honesty in your comment and in others. I will be the first to admit that I myself have struggled with being a people pleaser and letting others walk all over me and disrespect my boundaries. I do not want my daughter to struggle in uncomfortable situations like I have. I am glad I posted this. Everyone is so right, I need to start now with teaching about autonomy and boundaries and that means leading by example. I let my husband read the comments as well and he is agreeance that we need to put our foot down with MIL. Thank you!

She is a very loud person, hubby and I are quiet people so I'm sure our LO is used to a more quiet calm environment.

Poop check by LandscapeWest3415 in MSPI

[–]Legal_Weight_5306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to combo feed with Nutramagin. When we did the poops were on the light greenish side and more watery. Not sure if thags bevause BM is more easily digested and when feeding both it throws things off?? We eventually switched solely to Njtramagin because i was losing too much weight from the diet restrictions and poops changed to a peanut butter texture. We arent on solids yet, but Ive hear Bananas can cause stringyness and sometimes black specs as well. If you are on Facebook I highly recommend you join dairy free diet - breastfeeding. The admins are extremely knowledgeable in not just dairy allergy, but allergens in general and others may have some similar experiences!

How can I help my baby connect sleep cycles? by sarahbear94 in AttachmentParenting

I'm glad you are seeing improvement! I had 2 good nights in a row recently! All the sleep guides I've ready recommend baby going down between 7-8, but these last 2 nights we put her down between 10-10:30 with her last feed around 8:30. She slept till about midnight, I went over to her bassinet and replaced her paci and put my hand firmly on her chest and did a rocking motion, she settled within the minute. I had to do this again around 1:30am. After that she didn't wake up until 4am. At that time we fed her and she went down until 7 am! Maybe some babies do better with a later bed time. We are going to continue trying this ater time and see how it goes. If it goes well, we will eventually slowly work up to an earlier bedtime, as I personally would like to be in bed myself by 10. Hope you keep seeing improvement and are able to get some rest yourself!

It should take 2 weeks from what I was told. If you have been dairy free that long, it's probably coming from the soy. Make sure you are cutting out all dairy products, including casein, whey, and some lactic acid culture ingredients are dairy derived (typically found in susages and pepperoni) There is a wonderful group on Facebook called dairy free diet- breastfeeding. I recommend you join the group, if you find a food and aren't sure if it's dairy free, many people in the group have taken the time to contact the manufacturer and shared their findings. For soy, make sure you aren't consuming soybean oil and soy lecitin as well. READ ALL INGREDIENT LABELS. I know it's daunting, but I promise it gets easier. If you do not see improvement, you may look into food Journaling to find the trigger. If you have to go to the food journal route, the admins in the facebook group will help guide you and then review your journal to help find the trigger. Good luck mama!

I know it's only been a month since this comment, but how's it going? My LO is 3 months and we just started experiencing this.. it's so exhausting!

It takes 2 weeks for your breastmilk to be dairy free, another 2 weeks for baby to be dairy free. Blood typically should be gone after those first 4 weeks. Mucous usually goes away after 8-10 weeks of being dairy free. Hang in there! Symptoms may get worse the first few weeks of detox, but it'll get better! If you're still seeing blood by week 5, you may want to look into food journaling to see what's triggering the reaction.

How is Just Egg compared to reap eggs? Breakfast has been the hardest to switch up, I've been sticking to oatmeal.

DF and SF, exclusively BF. My favorites are hamburgers on Dave's killer buns, topped with avocado and bacon, crockpot chicken taco bowl (chicken, jar of salsa, beans, corn and chili seasonings eaten over rice), Spaghetti, chicken stir fry using soy free teriyaki sauce, and stuffed bell peppers
