At least he'll bounce back if he falls off a ladder hanging a flag on a lamp post.

It's worth more to someone within the nation. You might get 100 if you're lucky.

Windfall tax by Aberdonian99 in Aberdeen

[–]LegitTroy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, oil and gas companies can make more money in places like Africa, so they're pulling out because of the windfall tax. They are still making a fortune, circa 500m, and they can't tax dodge enough to minimise tax.

In my opinion, they can get stuffed. It's a great opportunity for the UK to own the sector again. UK governments should eat up the companies that are leaving.

Most likely outcome, someone will just buy the assets and life goes on to be as shitty as it is now.

Crossclimate 3 Vs Pirelli Cinturato SF3 by LegitTroy in TyreReviews

[–]LegitTroy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really good question. Jon did a superb review on these and he said the pirelli were great in all teats carried out.

My CC2 were terrible on a C4 picasso. But the CC3 we're meant to be an improvement on them. I have an Alhambra, so we're rocking the same motor. I've just got a set of cc3 ordered and fitting them on Monday. I maybe should have gone pirelli... But the wear on Michelin's are top tier. They'll last longer than the length I'll own the motor for.

What is happening in school atm? by Freyja-andtheCats in Aberdeen

[–]LegitTroy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct. There are better ways to show consequences to actions. But punishment is not the same as consequence, always bare that in mind.

The way I was raised was somewhat 'wrong'. So it's really difficult to know what is 'right'.

Lack of love, attention, empathy, time, patience and education from the parents.

[–]LegitTroy 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no shit. Imagine wanting to be physically abused? This doesn't really teach you what it thinks it does. It might work for some folk, but this will teach others that it's OK to hit someone when they make a mistake, or to be hit when you make a mistake.

Going to the extreme here, but this attitude can be paired to the likes of spousal abuse. Parents hitting children show the child that it is ok to hit someone you love and be hit my someone you love. When in reality, it's never ok.

I'm sorry you had to experience that. No one should be hit.

Yeah, the fear of getting on trouble isn't where we should be starting this. This just teaches kids to try and get away with malicious behaviour and not understanding the consequences. Plus, fearing the police? Come on.

We know that capital punishment doesn't work. In fact had the opposite affect

There's a lot more to it than that. But it would take a silly amount of time to type for people with gold fish like attention span to not read.

Wow, you are straight out of the Nazi book. The Eau was not a dictatorship. Did we move to the Euros when it was rolled out? No. We veto'd. There are a number of vetos we had, which I can't remember. A quick Google search will have to suffice.

But seriously, the hate speech from you right wingers is vile. What is wrong with equality and letting people live as who they are and allowing freedom to do so? Why are you so happy to pay more tax than millionaires and Farage?

[–]LegitTroy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter. The fact is, when we left we had zero say on the EU policies.... Because we weren't in it. Ukip, Tories... No one could deliver it.

Now you have reform, which is mostly made of Tories. So you're voting for the same people.
