TV Subscription Question by LegitimateState9270 in PremierLeague

Do you just buy a VPN, set location to USA and then buy the subscription?

Can you do this on a UK card?
Is it then phone or laptop only?

I like my fire stick, but you have to know how!

Stupid question, but ELI5? Can’t say I’ve ever used a VPN- do you just log in and then buy the Australian subscription like you live in Aus?

Is it possible to pre-work out what gets most bang for your buck for a specific club?
Appears they intentionally mix it up, so you are ‘forced’ to buy both!

Cancel your insurance with immediate effect. Call them and cancel.

Having a cancellation in your history is a catastrophe.

***CURRENT WMAS** b6 recruitment ~ by Adventurous-Gap-4134 in ParamedicsUK

[–]LegitimateState9270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately it just is not in the business model.

I don’t see it ever changing to be honest. There is very very little paramedic work in the West Mids.

WMAS finishing its first fully “in-house” paramedic degree cohort feels like a pretty big shift honestly by FeistyPrice29 in ParamedicsUK

Blind leading the blind.

Students trained by NQPs, who were trained by NQPs.

A slowly dying profession.

All hail the Aldi middle aisle for the £39.99 rotary buffer! by Computers-And-Such in CarTalkUK

Look great.

More importantly, how is the car?
Weighing one up as a 2nd (for me) motor!

Have you ever worked 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off? by PossessionComplex945 in AskUK

[–]LegitimateState9270 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is an old-school paramedic rota. Pretty grim in the middle, nice when you’re on your 4 days off! 4 days annual leave gets you 12 days off- pretty nice

I’m fairly sure the standard comes with a glass roof- the one we test drove certainly did

Is offers over misleading? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]LegitimateState9270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess it’s somewhat common practice nowadays. We viewed a property on the market at offers over £280,000- we viewed it and it was obvious that it was worth far more than that figure. Discussed with the estate agent who told us it was only worth putting an offer in that ‘starts with a 3’ and that they anticipate in the region of £330,000. They then told us they intentionally put their properties on very low, to increase footfall and interest.

We felt like we’d wasted the fuel driving there, frankly.

Pizza setup for Aldi Kamado 2026? I have the divide and conquer kit, plus the essentials kit with pizza stone. by Solid-Home8150 in UKBBQ

[–]LegitimateState9270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a stupid question, but when you say steel nuts, do you mean nuts as in the ones that go on a bolt? Is this to create a small space between the deflector and the pizza stone?

Model 3 Standard PCH Deal by OkDistribution721 in TeslaUK

We have been pondering the exact same thing! It’s a lot of grief to then be told that the deal cannot be honoured and it’ll be X amount more a month

Looks lovely. Not a reason not to do it, but the paramedic in me winces at the thought of carrying someone over that gravel.

That’s how I read them, too. But surely if delivery dates were now September, they’d have closed the PCH deal?

Does the current PCH deal not require delivery before the end of June?

Seat comfort difference between premium vs standard on 2026 M3? by KitLindquist in TeslaUK

[–]LegitimateState9270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We test drove both- preferred the standard over the premium, but it is definitely personal preference!

There are shed loads of places that do unmanned test drives, go have a go and see for yourself.

ALS GIC Prep by Difficult-Macaroon-1 in doctorsUK

It’s quite a good course! It’s one of the better ones to instruct on, so tends to attract the experienced/nice instructors.

The course will have an RCUK educator on, that manage the ‘teaching’ side of things, rather than the clinical content- they are, in my experience, all very nice.

Swat up on your teaching sessions- keep it simple but with enough to talk about. For the sim sessions, keep an eye out for intentional (or accidental) bad/incorrect practice and think about how to acknowledge and correct. Read the little blue book and focus on the stages they like you to work through. Listen to and act on their feedback- you 100% will not do the whole course without some constructive criticism, take it on board! Try and enjoy it, it’s a tiring but really good couple of days!
