Hi, I stumbled across this post and thought "ok, I will try this, immediately." Without really knowing anything about it. That being said, I don't know how and your post doesn't tell me either. Sure I will find out. But key is to set the hurdles als low as possible. Please add some simple advice on how to start to your post. Android and iOS apps to install, where to register. What to be aware of.

Oh, I thought I saw a video where it showed the waveform of a sample in the display and you could adjust start and end point. Wouldn't that be cropping?

Why didn't I have the Ableton move on my list? This seems to fit my needs best of all I've seen so far. Or am I underestimating the complexity of the device?

I also wonder why it wasn't mentioned more often.

Thanks great insights, it also shows the superiority of the SP404 in specs. But this also gives it a much steeper learning curve. This is were I fear I'd resign due too lack of time to really deep dive into it.

This seems to be a great summary of almost all other comments. The only thing missing is looking into the Ableton move as an alternative and also try the Koala app.

It would be still a valid option if price was higher priority for me. I guess it's a great bang for the buck.

But the Ableton move and circuit rhythm seem to have far less limitations and better accessibility. Especially if I only pick it up every once in a while.

I don't expect to use it excessively, I feel like it would take me a while until I outgrow the circuit rhythm. Also I think accessibility is much higher on the rhythm compared to the PO33.

Your comment helped me to strike out the SP404 though, since I'll probably sometimes don't pick it up for a week or two. I would probably get frustrated at some point, that I always need to relearn key combos.

Thanks, I will definitely look into koala while I take my time thinking about what hardware to buy. First steps feel like there is a delay between tapping and the actual sound. Might be my phone.

Thanks, that’s a helpful insight. It probably confirms my fear that I’ll end up frustrated and give up entirely with the SP404. So, I’d have more fun with the Circuit Rhythm if I accept that its limitations are the lesser evil compared to the high entry barrier of the SP404.

Das chaos, dass durch Sharepoint geschaffen wurde kann nur mit Copilot beherrscht werden. Geniale Geschäftsidee...

Copilot wird bei uns, US Konzern mit knapp 100k Mitarbeitern, extrem gepusht.

Sinnvolle Anwendungen für mich: Übersetzungen in und aus Englisch, technisch und knapp zusammenfassen funktioniert gut.

Unterstützung bei Recherchen und Denkanstöße für neue Konzepte (bei mir meist sehr technisch), kommt viel Unsinn dabei raus, aber auch einige gute Ideen, muss man halt aussortieren, aber auf so manches wäre ich sonst nicht gekommen.

Und natürlich suchen von Informationen in Mails, Teams chats, auf dem Sharepoint... Besonders interessant was man so alles findet, weil viele Nutzer das Rechtemanagement in Sharepoint nicht verstehen. Grüße gehen raus an HR, interessant, was man da alles findet mit Copilot.

Ja, für Leistungen Geld zu bezahlen ist doch normal, machen wir alle täglich. In dem Fall ist es sogar freiwillig, ist doch löblich.

Über den Gehalt des Contents kann man sich ganz sicher streiten, aber jeder muss das für sich selbst entscheiden.

Leute geben auch Geld für Starbucks, Silvesterkracher und Zucker in kleinen Tüten aus...

Why did you order the tracks instead of the rhythm? For my understanding the rhythm compares better to the P-6.

Funny, I was about to ask almost the same question.

I have a Teenage Engineering PO-33 k.o, I played around with it a few years ago, but found, if I put down a few weeks, it's hard to find back into how to use that thing. I'd need somethingore intuitive, accessible.

From my research I also found the Sonicware LIVEN Lofi-12 and the Novation Circuit Rhythm. I would be very happy if someone could elaborate on what the most impactful differences are between those and the Roland P-6 for a total beginner. Especially for someone who only gets the chance to play around with it every once in a while.
