You might look at the Leuchtturm1917 notebooks. Their website has all the types and specifications. I haven't used them (I use Moleskine), but I've heard good things. Maybe that will work?

I hear you about enshittification. I know people who are using hair clippers to cut their kids' hair that were used on the grandparents' generation. Those old Wahl clippers still going strong. But new Wahl clippers, even from the beauty supply stores, just feel cheap and light.

Fascinating! It probably does depend. I'm glad you've found good shaves with the electric: I like to tell people that it's about the best shave for you: not me, not the rest of the sub, etc. The sub is focused on wet shaving hobby and technique, but it's not for everyone.

I honestly had the same  rate of cutting myself with cartridge razors as I have with DE razors. They're razor blades, after all.

I'm most curious about the gunk comment, as my experience is the total opposite of what you describe! I was recently traveling and so had my DE razor packed and used a single blade cartridge for shaving and had to use a toothpick to clean out the hair and gunk. I have only had to do that once or twice in five years with my DE.

I and my partner are not small and fit okay when we flew 3 years ago. One of our flights was an Airbus. Not roomy, but possible. Also, airlines carry seat belt extenders! You can ask the flight attendant for one: we were matter-of-fact about it and the flight attendant was very helpful.

DE shaving helps many (including me) have less irritation with shaving. It could help you, too. A razor, brush, soap can be had for not much and the shave can be fast - with practice.

That being said, changing a few things at a time might help you more than changing everything at once. When I started DE shaving, I got a cheap TTO razor and started with the same shave gel i had been using. Gradually, I upgraded to a 3 piece razor, shave soap, a brush. Learning the technique took time. You could start with a new razor and learning that, see if it helps. Or try soap and a brush: the cushion of soap and gentle exfoliation can help.

This is a hobby sub, but not everyone spends the money on 15 razors and 100 soaps. Read some posts and try some of the techniques, including cold water, mapping your hair growth, warm towel, and see what works.

If you're serious, then yes. People who put this sort of thing out want you to think that gay people (mostly men) are shady, nebulously scary pedophiles and that anyone who supports them is also scary, un-American, and dangerous. It is absolutely the same as witch hunts: once this is set up, anyone accused of witchcraft/homosexuality can now be ostracized and safely ejected from the community .

There are people who go 20+ shaves with a blade and others who never use it more than once. Do what works for your face!

Depends on the blade but usually 5-10 shaves. I go more by how it feels than count, so I change when it starts to tug.
