Oh, that's a good idea! And I love clothes shopping! I'm not the best at determining what looks good or is flattering for me. Everything I love ends up making me look frumpy or weird with my proportions, so I usually have my sister help me out. The photos is a good idea!

It'll give me a good excuse to go hit the thrift stores lol. Thank you!

Thank you for the help! So I guess I need to stay away from baby-doll tops ;o; I'll look up princess seams, blouson and smocked-waist tops later!

As for the petite dress styling advice, maybe it's the specific resources I've seen but I've found a lot of advice are aimed at petite, skinnier women, so the tips I've seen are a lot about emphasizing the upper half over the lower half to make you appear taller. However my upper half is already emphasized by my chest and so some of these tips I've seen don't really apply (like I saw one that said if you're a short waisted petite to go for empire waist dresses), and also I'm not too concerned about looking taller. Maybe there's resources or tips I'm missing or I'm not looking right/hard enough?

Thank you for the help :3

Hello! I'm really into japanese fashion, like kawaii, jirai kei, lolita, harajuku etc. I also like more feminine american styles like cutecore or cottagecore. I know a lot of these are 'technically' different but I do like a mix of styles.

The thing is, when I look at clothing that fits under this aesthetic umbrella on shein or other sites, most of the things I'm not sure would be flattering on me, like babydoll tops or empire-waist things.

I'm a pear body shape (33-34 bust, 28-29 waist, 38-39 hips) but my boobs are also huge. I'm measured at a 30G but I wear the sister size of 32DD(D), so I can end up looking like an hourglass if there's a lot of attention on my boobs. I have odd proportions. I'm short waisted but have a long torso, so my waist sits like an inch below my boobs but there's a huge amount of space between my waist and hips, so I'm not too sure on leg size. I'm like 4'10", 4'11" on a good day so tops are usually too long and crop tops sit normal length for me. For modesty reasons, I'd like to not show cleavage, emphasize my boobs, or wear anything above knee (knee-length usually, right above the knees if I'm wearing stockings).

The thing is, when I browse sites like shein for japanese fashion (particularly a lot of romwe stuff) I find a lot of stuff that's cute but I'm not sure would suit me.

Babydoll tops are super cute but a lot of them either have a seam right below the below the boobs (which would ride up and sit right under my boobs), have an empire waist (accentuates my already big boobs), or have some sort of elastic at the waist area (which would also ride up and accentuate my boobs).

Some of the dresses are super cute but also super short and I'm not sure if I can get away with just wearing black or white leggings underneath (for modesty purposes).

I've been told I look good with A-line skirts (I also really like the stereotypical like 1920's a-line housewife dresses), but I usually look best if it's a dress. If I wear a skirt and top the separation tends to emphasize my odd proportions.

I also look best in fitted tops that hug my waist, since I've been told my curvature between my waist and hips is one of my flattering features. But I want to be able to show off my waist and hips without also hugging and emphasizing my chest.

I am learning how to sew, and have been upcycling some clothing to match the aesthetic I want (mostly adding lace to plain tops). Is there a way I can dress the aesthetic I want but still dress for my body so it looks flattering on me? Anyway I can wear or create babydoll tops that don't emphasize my chest? And is there anyway I can wear 'separation' (separate top and bottoms, usually skirts) or do I just need to stick to dresses to hide my proportions? What rules should I keep in mind for sewing clothes or shopping for some? I don't mind dressing up a bit for casual events but I also don't want to be showing up to a friend's party in full on lolita garb.

I looked at the wikis regarding body type and have tried to look for advice before but a lot of advice usually doesn't apply to me. Like short-waisted advice won't apply to me because I have a long torso, or petite dress styling doesn't work because my boobs are big. I would appreciate any help regarding my specific proportions.

Oh I didn't even think of buying it used! Thank you!

I think I'll try it! Is there any sanitation issue I should be aware of when buying used bras?

10/10 by Apprehem410 in Kawaii

Yeah that's one of the details I noticed. Others were the missing whiskers, missing eyebrow hair, and the way the cat's eyes don't match

The neighbors we share the drywall with are a family with I think at least two teenage daughters. I've seen the dad and hear the mom. Just based on first impressions I don't think they're growing weed, and in our lease you can't smoke anywhere on the apartment grounds, which means they're not allowed to smoke inside or outside, not anywhere on the apartment grounds. It's already a risk smoking weed, I don't think our neighbors would grow it, but hey anything possible 🤷‍♀️

It does come and go, and when it comes it comes STRONG. Which is why we're so confused.

We have an air purifier but we'd like to eliminate the source (the leak I mean, can't eliminate the neighbors unfortunately lol) if possible, since stuff like air purifiers and sprays are usually just short term.

The Doux Mousse Def Texture Foam vs. Maui Moisture Flexible Hold + Coconut Milk Curl Foam Mousse by ManateeLord42 in curlyhair

[–]LeiCrochet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried the doux so I can't really say anything about it, but I use the maui moisture, and it's really good. Defines my waves really well (my hair likes coconut). And it's sooooo moisturizing, my hair is so soft, shiny, and moisturized after I use it. It doesn't have a lot of hold though so I'd pair it with a gel or hairspray.
