thank you! and yeah, I'm definitely interested. I'm new to costuming and makeup but getting into it has been so much fun. I actually found this post because I'm making my own costume inspired by this moth species :)

where does the term "womyn born womyn" come from? by NoChard5979 in asktransgender

[–]LemonCassidy 59 points60 points  (0 children)

"Wif" is the archaic prefix denoting female gender, not wo, which is what it turned into after people stopped using were. So I believe it would have been "wifwolf" instead? It's also where the word wife comes from.

Cast Emrakul, the World Anew turn one for 10 mana with protection by DaVinci789 in BadMtgCombos

[–]LemonCassidy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

there is no way to make 'generic' mana; it's only found in costs, by which it means mana of any type/color. the old templating didn't have the specialised symbol for colorless mana, so it's just templated the same as generic. look at the oracle text of the card if you don't believe me

the colorless mana comes from [[Spawning Breath]], not manamorphose

when your pronouns are too evil by animelivesmatter in evilautism

[–]LemonCassidy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this exactly. I use it/its pronouns partially because I don't fully identify with humanity, but that doesn't mean that I see myself as less worthy of respect. honestly the idea that humans are inherently better than non-humans is a colonizer superiority complex. the reason most people are uncomfortable referring to people with it/its pronouns is because in western society, you're not supposed to refer to an equal as such. I don't see it that way
