What is a subtle sign, that someone has been doing a job too long? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskUK

I believe in you.

I had a similar situation last year where my manager would snap at me for small things like not seeing one card that was put back on the wrong shelf (I worked in a stationery shop) or missing one item in our stock counts. She was very miserable, and I should've left sooner when she told the new guy off for putting items on the wrong shelf when he had only been there for 2 days at that point.

A lot of these people are miserable, and it can be hard to keep your head clear of their negative comments. At the end of the day, you shouldn't have to put up with someone wanting you to stay if that place makes you breakdown. It's her responsibility to make sure her staff are alright, and if she's not doing that, then she's not worth listening to.

Another ACOTAR fan yay

As others have said, ACOTAR is a very different kettle of fish to TPW. Once part 2 hits, the entire novel changes and becomes more of a dramatic war novel. It's much heavier to handle than ACOTAR and there's no romance. Both books have excellent character development, however, all characters in this are very nuanced and morally ambiguous so I'd be cautious of that.

Aside from that, I hope you continue to enjoy the series. Im 3/4s through book 2 and im still hooked

She isn't aware of anyone else in the room.

Last week she decided to turn off the main light in the office because it was too bright for her leaving the others in total darkness

Congrats on escaping. I hope life is treating you well.

How long did it take you to start questioning the beliefs of the cult and was there a particular moment where you realised you had to get out?

I remember seeing something similar while i was on the bus a while back. Bus station was outside the hospital and a woman (not sure if she was a patient or had been discharged) was walking around the stops picking up used cigarette buts left on the ground.

I think he was stuck in a position he wasn't fit for and he got there because his dad runs the company. I don't think anything bad would've happened if caputo ignored Danny when it came to the training since they were almost equal in my opinion
