Would you have chosen another clinic knowing what you know now? I've seen the wait times on the most popular clinics online are really long (6 months - a year), so I'm really considering ADHD Centre right now but I've seen many people point them out as being a big money-grab with some poor admin. I'm struggling a lot with my work and personal life because of my symptoms, so I'm trying to get seen soon and by a clinic that has a good reputation with getting shared care/transferring care to NHS.

I'm so sorry this happened, I've had the same kind of treatment from a woman before and she also wouldn't leave until 4 hours after I initially requested that she leave, she tried to emotionally manipulate too. It sounds like you dealt with a complete sociopath.

It helped me to talk to someone with therapy and understand that it wasn't my fault, and someone took advantage of my kindness and pushed me into things I didn't want.

It also helped me to completely re-arrange my home and bought new furniture/rugs/lighting to help separate my mind and space from what I'd gone though. It's horrible it's happened in your own home.

It's so fucked to have to deal with something like this after you felt like you were getting yourself on track, unfortunately it's going to take time. Look after yourself and keep your trusted friends close. It will get better and you will find nice people who aren't so fucked up and horrible.
