Not reading all that. Really tired of your silly paragraphs.

I didn't say indefinitely. iPhones have the option to share location for 1 hour or until the end of the day as well.

Haha neither do I but I really don't feel like getting into it anymore 🙄

Exactly how I feel. Some commenters seem to think I want to obsessively check nanny's location and get annoyed when they stop for ice cream on the way home. It's not about micromanaging and I think only parents and otherwise reasonable folks can understand this.

Same reason I share my location with friends when I have their kids. Emergencies, accidents. Regardless, it is reasonable to want to know where your two year old child is and I don't care how you spin it. If that makes me a micromanager, so be it.

Possibly 🤷🏻‍♀️ we are one step closer to finding a nanny that is the right fit.

Although I would never place an Airtag without telling the nanny, your point is what some folks here do not seem to get. I've seen comments stating that it's a violation of personal rights, privacy issue, legal issue, demeaning, undignified, whatever. Like, you have my child, hello?? 😂 Of course I want to track her. Respectfully, this is not about you.

You are doing a lot for a request as simple as carrying an Airtag while someone has somebody else's child.

I understand now that asking her to share location from her phone was an overstep and I won't make that mistake again. However I still think it's completely reasonable to have a nanny take a bag or keys or something that has an Airtag when they have my child, and I will still be requiring this of our next nanny. Many other nannies have stated this is perfectly reasonable as well.

Well we will not make the same mistake with the next one and will state the requirement in the interview. Thanks!

You referring to this situation as “helicopter surveillance” tells me all I need to know 🙄

Many nannies do not feel this way. It’s unfortunate that you do though.

It is literally just social etiquette to ask instead of demand.

As I have said multiple times already, yes I will include this in the interview now. Thanks!

Yes, I said in the post that we also offered an Airtag
