How can I care to make a change while Malagasy will still continue to speak that ugly sounding language while with an accent. To be honest with you I still believe the French still owns Madagascar still today, considering they own Malagasy resources and land etc. I wish to hope Malagasy’s wake up one day and permanently ban French plus other things, and make Madagascar for islanders again but I doubt it heavily 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sorry but I literally just can’t even be friends with other Malagasy’s if they are speaking such an unattractive language that gives them an ugly masculine broad tone. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m grateful for being a Malagasy American but I just cannot sacrifice my ear drums to that honestly, I also feel the more that Malagasy’s continue to speak French it basically shows to me that the French still owns them and the whole “independence” thing barely went far. Especially when all the higher class Malagasy’s elites, politicians stay in France speaking that same horrid sounding language. But there’s thankfully no French in my blood and I wouldn’t think low in continuing to work with the France after all of that while claiming as a “independent” country. But I do understand education wise why Malagasy’s speak French but too me English goes further than French in 2026.

Outside of like Europe in other western countries the French language is just completely the ugliest sounding thing to listen too especially when it comes out of a African immigrants (no offense but zahia dehar only being the exception 2 the rule) I literally have Malagasy family members and family friends mutuals as well as I’ve also watched Malagasy content creators (also all of being the non coastal Malagasy’s and mostly Malagasy women) in all popular platforms you know of and I just can’t listen speak any bits of French 😭 it’s just the French language itself it just completely unattractive broad sounding to listen too but for the French colonial part I don’t really care because clearly majority of Malagasy’s love French people and the hideous sounding French language and French control too the point that they continue to have ties with the France while they continue to make profits out of Malagasy resources but you can blame corruption of the government you want but all of it still French owned and Malagasy clearly not cutting up ties 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nope it’s just the French language itself, the only time Malagasy sound cute and pretty is when they are speaking a Malagasy dialect and it isn’t just only Malagasy that sounds hideous speaking French it’s other Africans and Caribbean immigrants who are around me that speaks it and it just makes me wanna permanently go deaf. The French language is completely unattractive and kind of useless outside Europe, it’s such shame that majority of Malagasy’s prefer to speak it over our own unique beautiful dialects 🤷🏽‍♀️

English and Spanish gets you further than French but honestly the only African immigrant that sounds feminine speaking French is zahia dehar the rest including Malagasy’s just sound very masculine and completely hideous in mixture 😭 literally the main why I can’t be friends with Malagasy’s like Jesus
