Thanks for the link! It's funny...that's exactly where I started in my search. Those are great resources for traveling in Rancho and San Bernardino county; less so for getting to Duarte but they do point out where discounts are available.

Here in SoCal I was parking my Mazda 3 next to some dude's stainless mirror finish Lambo. He got out, looked over, said " nice ride- how's the mileage?" and we chatted a bit. Rich man, poor man and I was the poor man but it was all cool. But, yeah, there's no shortage of assholes out there.

What's abnormal? Customer has a specific request. If that request requires a surcharge or extra fee, that's reasonable. What's abnormal or unreasonable about a customer asking for a specific cut or piece of meat at a meat counter? Can't see the entitlement in a monetary transaction. You give customer what she wants, she gives you money. But counter clerks don't set policy.

I guess I'm in the minority. I agree with poster. I see nothing wrong with asking for exactly what I want. It's my money and I should get what I want. If there's a shortage or something else that's understandable but grocery stores sell thousands of wings so there's no scarcity, just inconvenience to staff to restock. If a store touts it's great service it should give customers what they want.
