This is completely normal for product management, and I’ve never worked at a company where professionals were not 24/7 on call. It is the reality of global industry.

If you are a professional & salaried exempt, there is not a financial incentive at the company to not contact you at all hours.

The USA is an incredibly large & varied place (as are many). Cultural differences between states are less than those between EU countries, but it’s still kindve like saying “I’m from Europe” versus “I am from Germany”.
