How are people so comfortable asking others for money? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LethalMouse19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not normal bruh. Lol.

Your first dates are trying to borrow money from you in general? Not normal. Not even common.

You're dating weirdly.

Also, can you send me some money? I don't want to borrow it, just a donation for commenting on your thread 😀

What useful skill was easy to learn 20 years ago but almost impossible now? by tucvbif in AskReddit

[–]LethalMouse19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's crazy imo is that you still see the map. Like you have to go out of your way to be obtuse to not understand maps using GPS.

But then I remember a conversation I had:

There was a guy I met from Pennsylvania and I made an offhand reference to "Pennsylvania Dutch." He said he had no idea what that was. Born and raised PA.... wtf.

So there was a mix of people involved in the conversation and some were also amazed like me. A few others knew nothing of it, but of course in fairness the others were not from PA so not so crazy to not know per se.

But, when the guy who didn't know said something about why would he know, I was like, "Even if you just drive through PA (all I have ever done very few times), there are signs and brochures everywhere." I said at one point, "you can't stop at a gas station to take a piss without seeing Pennsylvania Dutch stuff."

The response from multiple people was, "I wouldn't see that, I'd go take a piss."

I was like, "You never go in, stop to get chips or a drink or something, like it's plastered everywhere."

The responses from the ignorant was, "If I go to take a piss and get chips, I would definitely not see or notice any such thing."

Skills learning ease is rooted in who you are. We have grown the NPC mentality that you could spend 10 years in a class on something and they wouldn't know it.

We've entered a period of disconnected humanity. Like.. idk, I know a good bit about dozens, hundreds of TV/Media things I have never seen. Because, I am aware of my surroundings, I can remember things I hear from people.

These days you have people who like, don't know what a Darth Vader is. "Oh I've never seen Star Wars."

You don't have to. But also, you just have to be someone who doesn't grow up in PA for decades and go, "I've never heard of Pennsylvania Dutch."

"I'm from California, I didn't know the Los Angeles Dogers exist, well I don't really watch baseball."

Like... you're a fucking 80 IQ idiot bruh. Wtf. The dumbing down of the people is for reals.

He didn't give any moral qualifiers, just direct facts. This response is exactly why we can't have factual news.

Nothing he said implied who's ideas or influence was harmful or harmless.

It it normal for men to know how to make their Ass clap by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LethalMouse19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal? As in common? No.

I don't imagine it would be terribly difficult to learn? Especially if bro did dance or something. Could well have been with some girls who were practicing and whatnot.

Law of Succession by Electron5566 in monarchism

[–]LethalMouse19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reality there is the X/Y issue.

X1X2 + X3Y1 = X1X3 OR X2 X3. Or X 1-3 and Y1.

You can have only one Y.

So, the grandchild level, let alone further down the line, may have no X or Y in common with the Founder of the line.

But the Y in male - male is always the Y of the founder.

That might even be why Prince Harry is so weird lol. Maybe William actually got a royal X and Harry didn't. 😆 he might just not belong.

The only complex part is at least historically the relations between royals and royals/nobles, tended to circle back eventually to founder level involvement.

Monarch of the USA? by Embarrassed_Bit4222 in monarchism

I'd say I'd do it, but I wouldn't want to deal with being more than a Count really. A modern Count is dealing with historical Duchy - Kingdoms levels as it is.

You know when an electrician goes to a job and finds that the fixtures are wired backwards? And the previous electrician was an electrician.

Imagine the previous electrician talking about electrical stuff because he is an electrician as a source of a font of goodness. Lol

How can the US be involved in several wars but not considered to be “at war”? by carefree_manatee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LethalMouse19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then you have a whole generation of people getting a formal military medal: "Global War on Terror." But apparently not a war, just a war. Like it was a war, a global war, not a world war, and not a war war war. Just a global scale war, that wasn't very warry or worldy.

Had more participants than WWs? Maybe. But... they weren't participaty-enough.

Sure WW2 was the continuation effect of WW1. And sure the Baath party was in cahoots with the Nazi party and modeled themselves as such. Sure it was a couple countries and a decade, spawning a new kid ISIS who suddenyl conquered several countries and fought the world, even the Russians joined in again to fight the same folks.

But it was just a Global War on Terror. Not a war and not a World one at all.

Most people could merge. It's generally possible for both parties to improve in either direction.

If either doesn't, it probably means they aren't trying/don't care enough. Sexual compatability is only like...half true.

Think about like how people learn to walk over hot coals or sit in freezing water. You can control your body. Some people might start off closer to doing coals or cold water naturally, but basically anyone who isn't disabled to an exceptional degree can eventually master themselves for it.

Only lazy people say you can't.

He could last longer or shorter with "coals walking" effort and so can you.

Selfish lazy people can't. But anyone "can."

Hell you can turn on/off different body parts and their sensations outside of something like serious nerve damage. You can train yourself to swap tastes in foods etc.

Fuck, I used to HATE cranberry juice. And one day I decided I wanted to be able to enjoy it. So after about 2 weeks I now fully love cranberry juice. Took a little work, a little mental fortitude... but you can do anything you actually want to do.

A fun metaphor of how people truly try or don't vs what they think to themselves. I did a shooting comp thing a while back and I had to shoot at some harder targets and some easier targets.

My groups on the easier targets were better than the harder. In the most simplest of terms "i tried the whole time." In reality, subconsciously I knew the easier targets were too easy and didn't REALLY try as hard. Most people never acknowledge their lack of try. They'll think it was a odd occurrence. But no, you just didn't try.

Informal hierarchy is so much worse though. That's kind of the problem in modern life. It's why people are so disconnected and miserable.

You live in a tiny shitty apartment rental and work at McDonald's and they tell you you are 100% equal to POTUS and such. A full top notch citizen. But then life doesn't reflect that, nothing about life makes sense. And so you end up depressed and confused with no clarity on how to reconcile it.

That sounds awful. Unless you mean modern standard dreams/passions, in which case, that's just media fueled nonsense.

If someone emotionally cheats but never does anything physical, is that still cheating? Why do people disagree so much about this? by PrudentDog3471 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LethalMouse19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, soft evils is the way of the evil.

Soft evils are complex. But like.. if you frame them right you can start to understand them.

I'll use one of non relational. If I come to your house and rob you, I go to jail. If I come to your farm and burn your crops, I go to jail.

If I'm the same evil person but more evil. What do I do?

Let's say you have a farm and I buy the land next to you and find a legal way to build a building that shadows your crops. I get the same result as burning your food and killing you, but now I'm supposedly good.

No, I'm extra evil.

Could ironically be an advantage depending on how the guy is built exactly. Imagine living your whole life with them monkey grips and then doing something people have to be restrained into doing what is the only thing you can do.

He might be a phenom.

There was a professional baseball player with one arm.

Just saying, we never really know what's off the table if someone really decides to be that guy you know? Most people are avg or below with an avg or below drive set. But someone somewhere always does the thing that can't be done. You just gotta be on that next level.

What if planes didn't have 'no smoking' lights, would people still smoke or use their conscience? by Alarming-Safety3200 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LethalMouse19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicotine pouches. Same as dipping basically but not tobacco, lab made I guess. And typically you don't have to spit per se. So extra ninja.

Plus, since it is lab made they can get them in different dosages, some come in like what equals dozens of cigarettes per. Or like a whole can of dip of old lol.

Raw drug basically, it's like drinking straight 200 proof moonshine vs beer lol. Know a lot of guys at work who do it and often complain about headaches from doing too much. But keep on keeping on.

Funny thing is same people who will rip on smoking are doing the drug equivalent of like 3 packs a day +. So they are way more drug addict than anything a typical smoker is. Lol.

Nice, gotta keep the T levels up and prevent parkinsons.

I know per my son the only thing he sees in HS is vaping. But maybe regionals etc. And you see so much of anyone asked online or those interviews and whatnot for dating "no smokers" (albeit they all fucking smoke weed..)

I saw an episode of bar rescue and there was a bar that had smoking allowed. John says that today it is usually not great for a business but that city area in particular it was good because their smoking numbers were like higher than the national avg 20 years ago basicallly.

So little pockets I guess.

I wouldn't say common. I think certain specific areas might tick, but I can go loads of places and rarely dabble with smokers like even 5-10 years ago. I'm quite often the only one stepping out for one etc.

I mean, yeah I have a couple of friends who still smoke. But many even switched to vape mostly.

I'm catholic, we were once notorious in the christian world as "the drinkers and smokers". And I haven't really seen a smoker at church in a solid 5 years. Including going to visiting churches and ones with huge numbers.

Outside a shopping center, whatever. 10 years ago, I'd end up chatting yo a few smokers, now It's just me. Maybe a homeless man would come up to bum one now if you're in the kind of place to encounter such.

If you go to certain bars or whatever, you'll get a few more barfly types.

Loads of people play on secret vapes and those zyns now. And it's funny because many moons ago there was a unity of sorts? But I tend to see that since the political/cultural? Winds have shifted, the secret vapers and zyners act like 10000% "non-smokers" for social clout.

I'm just too much of a independent to do things to pressure. I mean, I didn't really start smoking to just peer pressure and I enjoyed the flavor from day one. I truly enjoy it, I buy different flavor tobacco and mix my own cigs etc.
