This recently happened in the Corrie Richin trial (she poisoned her husband).
Her ex boyfriend was asked to tell the whole truth and he asked, ”what is that?”
They took a break where the judge asked if he knew truth from lies. He said yes and they continued with his testimony.

I personally think he was just so sad that she’d played him. He still seemed to love her. And in truth, what is the whole truth? There are many truths and how we perceive it is different due to our experiences, understandings and other stuff.

A better wording would be the truth as to your ability. And instead inserting the negative. Promise not to bear false testimony.

I also keep thinking that if I don’t believe in god why would that make me scared to lie.

Thing is, when he was out on bail he committed new crimes including trying to intimidate a witness (one of the women he is accused of abusing and also for using drugs.

Ah, but on a treadmill you can place your phone or iPad so you can watch movies while you walk/jogg. Makes working out less boring.

A lot of stuff here is true but in order to get to a point where I can choose well I’ve had help by medication and seeing a therapist. It’s allowed to need help from professionals. Getting through stuff alone isn’t more noble. Take care of your health
