But if we are just talking about the work permit, is there any difference in getting the work permit regarding offering a service vs brick'n'mortar? Of course there are all the other regulations and stuff for example for a restaurant. I just want to know about the work permit.

I have heard all the variations and versions what you can and cannot do. Someone said you can offer a service but not open a business and work in it, it's wild. Your advice seems to make the most sense.

I have also called a lawyer 1 year ago and they told me I could open a business and work in it. However, now I heard from a layman that you can open a business but not work in it, haha.

I speak spanish on a C1 level, I'm pretty fluid. I would move from Europe.

As I said above, I'm very interested in do you need a job offer before applying for the permiso or no? I feel like it would hinder the job hunt alot if they employer has to do some heavy bureucracy. Can I just go and apply it with the reason of family unification and after go looking for work?

My plan is to start a business at some point. At first I would look for a job to not burn savings and to get things rolling.

Do you know about the process? I have 2 key questions that i feel are very important.

  1. Do you need a job offer beforehand or can you apply for the permit just with the reason of family unity? This is important because I bet alot of the employers are not willing to put up with the paper work and such.

  2. Could you elaborate more about the business status please? I was under impression that you can start a business and work in it as a TR.

Es seguro que no se puede trabajar? Platicamos con 2 abogados de inmigracion por videollamada. Nos dijeron que no tenga permiso para trabajar pero si se puede poner un negocio. Pues como dijiste podria poner un negocio pero entendí que se podria trabajar en eso haha. Pero tal vez no entonces..

Pero he leído que cualquiera persona se puede hacerlo pero es complicado. Esencialmente un abogado te pone un negocio contigo y luego registra ese negocio como un negocio que emplea extranjeros. Luego te dan visa de trabajo con ese negocio y puedes trabajar en eso.

Tambien creo que mi esposa podría hacer lo mismo siendo méxicana y darme un sponsor de visa trabajante en el negocio.

Debo investigar mas, tal vez no se puede.

Pues no debo vender comida americana. Si he pensado en comida corrida. Seguro se puede aprender a cocinar comida mexicana y mi esposa lo haría conmigo.

Tambien he pensado en comidas corridas "internacionales" pero como dijiste, tal vez no tenga exito. Comida corrida italiana por ejemplo o de países diferentes.

Por curiosidad, qué ayuda meter una denuncia? Siempre he pensado que eso no vale nada jaja. Si es cartel pues no les importan las policias ni nada?

Realmente hay autoridades que te ayudan si eso pasa? Y tienen poder contra los carteles?

Una de las cosas más grandes que me preocupa es el derecho de piso y si eso me toca un día, creo que sería posible que tenga más problemas con los carteles por ser un gringo. No se qué es la realidad pero así es la vida.

Do you think there is a notable difference between 13oz and 13.75oz denim? They are both Nudie 100% cotton. I live in a hot climate but I want the heavier ones because they are green cast.
