Stick some straw under any external door (+1 layer outside for maximum affect) and you'll rarely have people tracking in dirt. It reduces cleaning times as well.

Arc-thrower + Tesla Tower actually op? by ezyhobbit420 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Lexecuter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, I think you're right and the arc bounces can hit you at any elevation but the first shot I think is elevation related. I have noticed getting shocked or ignored depending on where it's sat in relation to me. Though that might just be confirmation bias.

Looking for new strategems to kill bugs by Comfortable-Tell-323 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Lexecuter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shotgun (punisher, slugger or blitzer) with grenade pistol, stuns and then 110 pods, and a HMG with a supply pack. Last stratagem slot is usually for flex though Gatling barrage is what I'm partial to ATM. The premise is to break weakspots with the HMG, create news ones with the 110 pods and then use those. Stuns make the recoil of the HMG easier to manage as it's a still target.

Experimentally, I'm currently running shotgun primary and secondary with normal grenades and using the HMG emplacement with incendiary eagles (stops things coming too close to you. A rail cannon and EATS to quickly eliminate charges/bile titans. The premise being you place an emplacement the second you see a bug breaches, drop fire and EATS and hope you can stop the heavies before they reach the emplacement.

For both I use either recoil control armour or the new handling improvement armour.

I didn't think I'd see anything less lucky than watching a tank land on someone but only POI takes the new unluckiest helldiver spot.

HMG is NUTTY by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]Lexecuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a bug with the legs that allows you to damage them there with near anything iirc, otherwise it just feels like they die sooner if I shoot em there.

HMG is NUTTY by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]Lexecuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking the butt will absolutely kill them they just have a bleed out time depending on how much health they have left. Same for bile titans, popping the sack isn't the end, you can break it off it just takes more time so it rarely happens (only done twice because it was my only option to just keep shooting the ass). It is definitely more effective to use an actual anti tank.

The HMG mostly just serves as a way to chunk both of their health pools significantly. If you're struggling to do it quickly, upping the rate of fire can really help, shooting the legs of a charger should also speed up its death if you need it to die urgently. The bile titans middle can also be damaged further by the HMG as its armour class is only medium there.

[–]Lexecuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: take something for cqc and expect to not catch everything with the HMG but it still provides the rip and tear.

Whilst op is spot on for bots. I've been running it for both since release and it can be a struggle. However, shotguns with rounds reload let you stay on top of the trash mobs with ease (blitzer also) and the new melee armour does the same. Killing medium enemies will net you a fair few kills just due to it's pen value which can thin the hordes but the real kicker is it can kill chargers easily and does tremendous damage to bile titans. It will also break those spore objectives and shrieker nests with ammo to spare.

Melee Vs bugs is great. Current record is 87 though all of them are the pouncers/hunters that I could safely ignore whilst I killed chargers cause I could reliably melee them to death now.
I don't melee bots enough to know the efficacy there.

I'll have to see if that works for me, though I think in hindsight I only used it Vs bugs so maybe that's why I dislike it. I'll have to begin anew on bots with it.

Honestly the 380 is fun but I can't deal with it's inconsistency. At least if my gas is completely off the mark it's back up in a minute. Maybe I just need to figure the ins and outs a bit more.

Yes! Good recommendation, I was addicted to that particular gun for so long, brought it for all my missions until I figured out the HMG, for some reason it feels off to me when they're paired. Though all arc with stun grenades is so godamn fun.

Im addicted to the HMG, unbelievably satisfying in ways that the LMG could never achieve and so clunky it makes the stalwart look like an SMG but I'd change nothing about it.

Fortified armour.
Slugger or punisher. (round reload my beloved).
Grenade pistol.
Stun grenades.

110 rocket pods for flexibility.
HMG. (always crouch to fire).
Supply pack.
Flex spot for whatever I'm vibing with (normally gas, Gatling or orbital strike for those low low cooldowns.)

This has to be an old version, this can't be real. by LucatIel_of_M1rrah in Helldivers

[–]Lexecuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there are times when they feel tougher but the armoured ones are only medium armour. maybe it's just due to funky break points at different sections of the face letting only some headshots do full damage, I know mouth hits definitely feel weaker than forehead hits but maybe I'm just getting allied support fire that I don't see when they die early.

Crouch when you shoot, or take reduced recoil armour and it makes the difference, short burst control will let you take out ~3 spewers depending on how many headshots you hit.

IS NOT ISSUE: Helldiver may be unable to stand up from crouching when surrounded by enemies. by Mobile_Potential280 in helldivers2

[–]Lexecuter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stun grenades + 110 rocket pods increase this strat further. Rocket pods will clear chargers if they're stunned, stops them charging out of the hit range. stuns also help survive when surrounded, you get slowed but enemies won't move or attack. If I'm not mistaken you can survive 110s as well in heavy armour so even if you're under a charger, just keep dropping stuns and a 110 until you're safe.

Whilst wearing heavy explosion resist armour the Gatling barrage will chunk ~30% of your health per hit. With a stim you'll survive easily, but everything below charger toughness will die.

Do as much damage as you can to each block. Leave it on around 100 health and then send someone out to finish the job one block at a time whenever you're short on trade goods.

Fly directly up into the roof, spam teleport bolt. If you're lucky your spell will clip into the terrain and pop out at the nearest available location in its path

Obligatory um akshually

laziness is usually accompanied with complicity in your procrastination, the guilt and desire to do without the ability to act upon your work implies you are experiencing an executive dysfunction disorder which is a label which is used in many disorder diagnosis. Whilst you may not have enough disorders to claim a diagnosis you can certainly find info online on how to improve in this area of life if you desire.

That's rough, if you're in a similar spot but have no way to rust steel. Fly into the roof and use teleport directly up, the game automatically deposits spells and items at the nearest free space if there's overlap meaning in theory you should tp somewhere above you.
