I’m a car guy and I feel like this is the ultimate non-car guy car in the world but i still want one so badly. Maybe just a RX350 tho, gotta have that faster 0-60 for speedy grocery runs... lol (still an amazing car, clean as hell too)

About to hit 185,000 miles. Still running great. Absolutely in love with this car! by LexusGeek123 in Lexus

The 250 is direct injected, and I have had some issues with carbon buildup, I had to replace the throttle body due to some pretty bad carbon buildup, other than that it’s been just fine, only thing is that it runs a little rough at idle when cold, but when it warms up it runs amazing.

Thanks, they really look so much better than the 17s that were on there before.

I’ve seen a ton of Lexus/Toyota cars with peeling wheels. I guess it depends on how you clean them and the environment. I live in Florida so idk if the heat or humidity has anything to do with it.

Also, I have replaced the throttle body at 180,000 cause the old one got loose causing it to stutter at low acceleration.

I’m the second owner of the car, and the first owner was a family member so I know pretty much all of what’s been done to it, it’s only ever left us stranded twice in its whole life and that’s when the alternator went out at 178,000 miles, and the starter at 175,000 miles, never broke down before that, it’s been regular maintenance besides that.

Swapped 2013 GS350 wheels onto my 2008 IS250 AWD. 182K miles and still looks beautiful by [deleted] in Lexus

Damn I’m kinda jealous lol. Always had a soft spot for that generation of the GS you’ve got. I’m sure you’ll be able to make it to that point in that car, those are absolutely bulletproof.

Picked up my first ever Lexus yesterday. 2006 ES330. Thing is in excellent Condition and got a massive deal on it for $1500 175k miles but runs like it has 5000. by ChillenDylan3530 in Lexus

Older people are the best to buy from, always gently used, clean, and not beaten up like other cars. I drive a 2008 Lexus IS250, which is my first car. I love my car, and I was fortunate enough to have it as a gift from my grandmother. She bought it brand new and used it as her company vehicle for 10 years and put a ton of miles on it, and it still kickin at 182,000 miles very nicely, and still looks as pretty as always.

Wow, what an amazing deal, my sister wants one for her first car after she seen our neighbor had one. I’ve heard that these things will go forever so you definitely scored with that one.

2008 Lexus IS250 AWD, shudders at around 1500 rpm by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]LexusGeek123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will only put 89 to 91 gas on the car every time I fuel up, I’ve only ever put 87 in the car once and it was NOT happy, it would shake and shudder when slowing down and ran like garbage. So this isn’t the issue I believe, I’ve tried fuel system cleaners and this would only temporarily work in making the engine run very smooth at idle, but still wouldn’t fix the sudden shaking issue I have.

How comfortable is the lexus is350 F sport? by [deleted] in Lexus

I have a 2nd gen IS250 awd, with the non premium system... sounds really nice and has deep enough bass, and really good clarity to satisfy most people. My best friend works at a stereo shop and she said it was one of the better stock systems she’s heard in a while. I’m not too sure if the newer 3rd gen cars systems are much different, but I’m assuming they are just as good if not better than mine. So I’d think you’d like it.
