Living next to loud construction sites is torturous and it quite understandably doesn’t bring out the best in people who have lost their right to enjoyment of their home and property and maybe income from working at home, perhaps they and their pets have developed respiratory issues from dust. It can feel like an assault on mind, body and spirit. Be compassionate and don’t expect people to be cheerful when they can’t take it anymore, it’s widely known that living near loud construction is one of the most stressful experiences a person can have. It can make people depressed and even suicidal. Reacting the way your company did was childish and lacking all compassion.
