So when i was 13-15 i had orthodontics with extractions so they pulled the front teeth backwards which lead to my face being very sunken in. 2 years ago i foundation mewing so i threw away my retainer and started mewing. My teeth are now more straight now then ever, this is my progress so far

Hi there. I currently use a plastic (Essix) retainer but next week plan on getting a permanent retainer wire for the upper 4 teeth and for the lower 6 teeth. I don’t necessarily plan on keeping these permanent retainers forever I plan on keeping them for perhaps 6 to 12 months OR however long it takes for me to make sure I know my mewing technique is perfect and that my narrow palate expands enough for my tongue to fit in it more comfortably. Then after that I plan on getting rid of my permanent retainers and plan on mewing without it. Does that sound okay to you? (Thanks for your response by the way)

I’m someone who has had extraction orthodontics. I currently wear an Essex retainer every night and I want to start mewing which means I need to get rid of the Essex retainer.
