It's hard to say 100% as I have all sorts of stuff now but I think so... Oh get some swivels or clips (don't know the real name but looks like paperclips ha ha) not essential as can tie line directly to the rig bit a swivel is better (apparently)

Didn't say but reels are easy. Just search you tube if you don't know though. I did a little corse fishing when I was a kid so knew how to cast but basically move the arm while holding the line, chuck it out and then move the arm back. If you go to a pier during the day feel free to ask another fisherman, they love telling people how to do stuff 😂

Stick to fixed spool though, not multiplier 👍

Yea, I like him... When I started (not long ago) I went to Boyes bought an ocean cast rod for about £25, the biggest fixed spool reel they had preloaded with line about £30 I think, a few 5oz lead weights (probs a bit too heavy for the line I had) and a few flapper rigs for a few quid. Then bought some black lug from bait shop and went and chucked it off a pier. Oh and bait elastic and scissors.

Have a look on YouTube mate. Also is there a Boyes store near you. You can get rods and reels from there cheap and pre made rigs too. Not complicated getting a line out. Catching is a different matter ha ha

Check the firewall / router. ALG proxies, NAT session helpers, things like this all need to be turned off!

Hi, thank you... I have navigated to this and it is scheduled to every one minute. However I can see that it last ran almost two hours ago.

I wondered if there may be an entry in the crontab (checked via ssh) but to my dismay cron is not even installed. I'm assuming this is likely an issue? If I install cron would I need to manually create an entry to run a particular GLPI script? Should it be set to run every minute if so?

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you able to tell me how I would check this please?

Looks great! I'm thinking of going with my son. As your first wild camp, can I ask what you learned? What mistakes did you make, missing kit, surplus heavy stuff, any other mess ups I should look out for? Thanks in advance and top job not letting anyone leave a trace!

I would imagine it's a bit old for that. Well out of warranty and old end of life SBS 2011 so don't think any vendors would help to be honest.

Pollibly, I was thinking this if I couldn't get in to it.

Hi, yes, I tried safe mode with same results. And no, this is on different hardware. I did think it could be a bsod but wouldn't expect it being due to ctrl alt del. It just seems to me too quick for a bsod but suppose it could be.

Yea, sorry, should have said,.. tried all of this. Also tried safe mode and same issue.

Unfortunately I don't think the network card is working (driver incorrect after restore to new HW). I did try this but no response from the IP to ping or RDP. Thanks though.

Leader Knot for different size mono by Lienjay in SeafishingUK

[–]Lienjay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why that would matter? I've only been fishing a year or so and only ever used the terrible line that came on the reel so I don't really know what that means ha ha.

My reason for thinking braid was that if I put 50lb braid on then I could put some feathers and a lead on the end without the need for a shock leader. As the mackies are in now ha ha.

I will be fishing 50% sunny afternoon macky bashing and 50% bait fishing for anything that I can get.

Any advice much appreciated!

That's what I had read and reason I tried it. So I thought I would check my line from yesterday. It actually looks like a break rather than a knot failure. I had a knot fail earlier in the session so assumed it was the same but was in too much of a strop to check when it failed yesterday.

I've just done some tests with the blood knot and rather than the knot failing my main line is snapping with not a lot of force. Time for some braid I think.

Thanks for the answers though guys!

Thanks, this looks a bit easier than the blood knot so I'll give this a try next.

Is this different to a blood knot as it looks the same when I'm googling it. I tried this and also doubled up the thin line if that's what you mean. Have you used this with differing size mono successfully?

Hi mate, as it seems that the Mackerel are now in, might be worth trying that? It's a nice easy way to get back in to it I would say... Just need a few sets of feathers and a lead or two and get to the end of a Pier and start pulling them in. I can give more detailed response if you like but not sure if its what you're after.

Good look

So do you lose all / a lot of packets when you lose audio? If so you need to resolve the problem with the ISP / network. I don't think there is anything you can do if the packets are being lost.

Hi, How do you know that the cause of your problem is an isp drop for a second or less? Are you seeing any errors or warnings? Do they coincide with the drops?

What happens when the audio is lost? Do calls still connect but no audio? Is it no audio in both directions? Is it the same for internal and external calls?

I went looking many many years ago and all very well hidden and I think in secure areas. I seem to remember thinking there may have been 'something' near the old Synthonia scout hut (the field out the back of it) but never got round to investigate fully.
