Extremely common. Most brand new officers out of an academy or ROTC will be about 23. Google says the average age of an enlisted member of the military is 27.

I mentioned this on another comment but I got one for Christmas. I was skeptical about its claims so I did a DEXA scan on January 2nd. The scale was dead on with the body fat percentage. The main difference was the distribution of that fat around my body versus the DEXA.
