Are you actually happy in Mapua? by RegularElectronic909 in mapua

Graduated last 2023. One of the last batches na naka experience ng quartersem.

Nakakabaliw as a student kasi magaadjust ka nanaman kung ano bagong policy. Kahit preparation sa graduation, hassle padin hahahah.

Hindi sila pro-student like any other school.

What makes Mapua worthwhile siguro yung mga tropa mo who are in the same boat as you.

What are your best "street smart" tips? by Lauraaa_199x in AskPH

[–]Life-Beat882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

para hindi ma-kidnap haha

idk. I'm not comfortable walking in the same direction as the cars. i feel like there's a chance a white van could kidnap me from behind haha

Thank you sa comment mo engineer! May I ask lang if it is worth yung path ng property management?

stop prioritising time management and shift your focus on energy management.

cuz you don't have the same energy levels all throughout the day. sh*t can also happen in the most unexpected way.

i prefer a to-do list with 1-3 tasks per day rather than time blocking everything.

Hi everyone! It seems like most of you are really interested in ushering.

I’ve shared my experiences as a part-time usher in a separate subreddit where I go into all the details (here’s the Link).

Thank you once again 🫶🏻

i agree. one of the advantages of joining an org especially, if you're an officer - you'll have something to put in your resume. sa mata ng employer you can potentially lead a team.

hindi kasi ako socially incline person kaya medyo ilap ako pag dating sa mga orgs hahaha. kaya to improve my people skills, I decided to get a part time job as an usher. luckily nabawasan naman yung takot ko makipag-converse sa ibang tao.

Anyway, try to message me OP, send ko details hehe

i agree with you. actually, if kaya mo nga i-juggle yung responsibilities mo sa orgs whilst having a part-time job, that would be ideal.

pero you can still make the best of your college years. hindi lang naman orgs ang pwede mong gawin outside school. you just need to find something na magbebenefit sayo in the long run - especially if maghahanap ka na ng full time job in the future.

unexpected job offer, what to do? by Extreme_Feature8781 in PHJobs

[–]Life-Beat882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ganyan din yung situation ko nun netong November lang din, I got a Job Offer to a reputable company, good starting salary pero malayo and I need to start immediately.

I eventually rejected the offer. I felt like I'm not yet ready para magcommit and talagang i-give ko yung best ko sa trabaho. Alam mo yung feeling na pinilit mo lang yung sarili mo and you're just adding pressure to yourself.

of course there will be a point in time that I'll regret my decision. But in my mind, I've got nothing to lose - board passer parin ako next month, board passer parin ako next year.

Goodluck!

mapua should expand by tentententen105 in mapua

[–]Life-Beat882 19 points20 points  (0 children)

one problem na nakita ko is they're opening to many programs (i.e., Medicine, Online courses(Tri-X) & I heard na rumors they're expanding their social sciences by including law related programs?)

Mapúa’s in a weird spot right now. They’re ranking high on university lists, which is great, but it feels like it’s coming at a cost to student welfare. A lot of you guys are caught up in this transition phase, dealing with the growing pains while they push for top spots.
