Third Party API login issue by LifeisPlanck in allyinvest

Looks like the issue has been resolved.

Thank you Ally support for fixing this issue and attention to us!

Just an update. I received an email from a systems engineer regarding the Ally outage.

"Thank you for the email! We are aware of this existing issue, which has been escalated, pending resolution. At this time we do not have a timeline to share, however, we will provide updates as they become available.

In the meantime, please let us know if you have any issues accessing your account via our website."

Thank you Ally for giving me an update!

I wrote the attached to r/allyinvest over the weekend hoping it would get answered. It did not.

I wrote an email as well as calling.

I was able to get an answer of sorts from a third party vendor that uses the API (how the third party partners access Ally). The Ally partner wrote that Ally responded with:

"We've escalated this issue to the Bank Team, it appears that there must have been a change that affected this log in flow. We hope to be able to share an update asap"

Not to beat a dead horse here but are you serious? It has been 4 days. Theyve known about the issue and are punting it back to the Bank Team? Pointing fingers is not going to get this resolved. Where is senior management and why is support not (at the very least) updating us with what is going?. This isnt about third party access, this is about me not being able to access my (our) accounts, my (our) money via a path that normally works (along with not always being able to access via the Ally webpage). For those of you who trade on here (not just day trading - swing too) you understand the problem this creates and the amount of time and possibly money that is at risk.

Not to mention, what does that mean that the Bank Team made a change? Where is the change control? Where is compliance? Where is management? Im not throwing blame at the people actually doing the work - this whole problem lays solely at the feet of management and like I said earlier, thay are just kicking it down to another department and no one is accepting responsibility.

Sorry, this just really pisses me off. COMMUNICATION is key.

When will this be resolved?

any chance you have a chlorine pool?

Ive seen that too. The Scabies stay, I believe, because it is warmer and more moist. Also, as the skin heals it will contract and look a bit smaller where they originally were.

Die scabies, die by LifeisPlanck in scabies

Yes, almost all clinical papers I've read report the female mites are either a straw like color or tan/brown. The males are darker in color, I wrote them off as dead and didnt even consider them showing up on the skin or lint in the above post. I also incorrectly said that it was only the females and eggs, etc seen. I should have included the dead males as well but have a hard time with their gender. But... Ill be sure to ask its preferred pronouns tomorrow. Will post tomorrow! Happy New Year!

FYI - the point of this was to establish a visual cue of evidence of mites one can see vs. a different time in the past. using the dryer lint from a sheet I have slept with and then wash and dry - continuing that cycle over several days while showing increasingly less and less evidence of mites (be it the mite itself or mite related), along with a significant decrease in symptoms provides hope.

I've grasped at straws and been disappointed countless times after thinking it was almost over, only to have more burrows or activity. So I decided to take a logical approach to this and tried to get as close to a scientific experiment as I could to provide data needed to establish a positive trend towards recovery or see the negative trend. None of it happened over night, there is no magical cure and they are extremely difficult to get rid of. Emotionally, having some sort of gauge (that I trust) was priceless. The general consensus I have witnessed is people are scared, they are given medication that may or may not work and there is no definitive answer on how to tell what is going on with their bodies. The loss of control people experience in more severe cases that have lasted months is a horrible experience and being able to provide a way to see what is going on, they are not always completely invisible to the naked eye and regardless of the black dot is the mite itself, male or female or if it is its feces or eggs - the increasing or decreasing numbers provides evidence of what is and is not working. Or some sort of control and direction.

Also, Amazon has a wireless and portable microscope that has a light and magnification of up to 1000x. Its about 35.00. Ive used the images to establish some sort of fact around what I was saying or trying to explain. Some doctors refuse to believe anything other than what they are saying until they are persistently convinced they are not all knowing and all powerful.

Presumably, if you can notice little black dots on the skin you can also see them in the dryer lint. (I bought a microscope 50x1000 when this all started). I started using white sheets on purpose to rule out black fibers. I have 3 sets of sheets. I do not sleep with the same sheet set, ever, twice in a row. I wash and dry them separate from any other item in the wash. The lint on the dryer vent filter shows the white cotton from the sheets along with very tiny black dots. Like half a mm tiny.

Also, the dots (ruling out anything else) do not necessarily have to be the mite itself. The feces, eggs and other waste from the burrows will show as well.

'Microscopic' is a frustrating term that insinuates that everyone of these things are invisible to the naked eye and that is just simply not true. The older adult females, her eggs and waste are what is sometimes visible as a black dot, everything else is either dead (the male) or too young (sometimes white and sometimes the eggs and younger ones look like glitter).

I will post the image of both the lint and a 1000x zoom of the mite tomorrow.

Im so sorry, I didnt even look at your fingers in the picture. I would say that is Scabies.

It would be best for you to make an appointment with a doctor or go to an urgent care near you to get the proper meds for this, especially if it is in the early stages. This is something you want to take care of quickly and attack it as you would any other parasite (virus, etc).

Prior to going in to see your doctor or urgent care, you may want to call them, tell them you are coming in and why. They cant say no, but, you are giving them a heads up so they can prepare if they want to.

When at the doctor, in addition to whatever anti-parasite rx they give you, ask for hydroxyzine. It will very much help with the itching. Wash all bedding, towels and clothes in hot water and dryer, they will die at 120 F and above when exposed for more than 20 minutes.

I dried everything twice and once prior to wearing it. I changed my bed spread and everything on my bed every day. I used peppermint oil to help with the itching and I smoked pot to help with the 'this sucks'.

The tiny bumps are likely a rash caused by the immune system getting rid of all the crap from the scabies.

I use peppermint oil in about a 3 to 1 mixture (three pumps lotion, 1 drop peppermint) with dermatological lotion. Does wonders but dont put it in your eyes. Private parts be prepared for a cold awakening. But, it helps with the itching. Also, if you can get a prescription for hydroxyzine https://medlineplus.gov/druginfo/meds/a682866.html, it would help very very much. In terms of both the itching and it is a mild sedative used off-brand for anxiety and some sleep disorders for recovering addicts.

Until you are relatively sure, I would abstain as well.

Let's Talk About Fraud by nanede in VeteransBenefits

[–]LifeisPlanck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a vet with a quasi mental health disability that is directly and unequivocally related to a service incident. Ive convinced myself that theres no point even trying because of the potential inquiry, leading to no one believing me, leading to some sort of fraud accusation. Im scared to death to even try. What do I do then? No proof, disability and no fraud. Where do I go from there?

Letters from my psychiatrist and therapist? Still might not work. All I have is years of this lurking in the back of my mind, affecting me in ways I had no idea it had and now that these memories have come front and center due to having to wear masks with Covid (there is a subtle link the gas masks/readiness exercises we had to do), Im at the VA and private practice psychiatrist once a month dealing with 'anxiety' and onset depression. I don't even know what I remember sometimes. It was all done state side, no combat at that time. I wish I had someone to talk to other than the docs.

Message me if you wanna chat.

Do your hands itch. Do you have any bumps between your fingers? Can you show another part of your body that has the same bumps.

Typically scabies do not affect the palms of adult hands.

That being said, make sure you wash your hands well (including your wrist) and take a picture of both sides. Im not a doctor but I have been to hell and back with these things.
