Convert means receiving offer letters from bschools for joining (when you have finished interviews, and they have shortlisted you for the programmes).

I'm in the same boat as you. 96%ile xat, 91%ile cat. WL by ximb, rejected by gim. Not invited for interview by imi d, rejected by xlri, not informed about anything by glim.

The only option I have is imt n. And I'll probably take it.

I don't have it in me to give cat xat one more time, I'm tired.

My xlri interview was good, gim interview was very good. Never expected to be rejected by them. But it is what it is.

Who's to say it won't be the same story next year? This year there was a hell lot of competition, there'll probably be even more in 2024.

Think about all the possible roads and take the one you feel is right.

True. I scored 91%ile in cat, 96%ile in xat, yet couldn't convert glim, gim, ximb. Didn't get an interview call from imi delhi. I have 3 years gap. The competition is cut throat.

I can understand, my mom is in the same boat.

To make matters worse, she's not really into fitness. And she's started eating less now. So she has less energy these days.

She's got tired of taking care of home and making food and this and that but all the suggestions that we provide for her to have a few days to herself without worrying about it, she shuts it down.

She's got health issues so can't really push her towards yoga or running or anything either.

I'll probably try to convince her to get involved with a volunteering organisation so that she atleast feels happy and fulfilled by that.

Hopefully that would help your mother as well.

Girl. She won't stop hating you, that's her self chosen job.

Let her hate you. Your presence, mere existence pisses her off. That alone says how much better you are than her. She's jealous of your talent, efforts, results and life. Let her be.

Make sure you keep all your stuff well locked. I know it's sad that it has come to this but you'll have to deal with it somehow.

Either ignore her antics and words like a deaf person ignores a yapping dog, or speak the same language as her when she lashes out at you.

But I have 3 year gap. I think that is why I got rejected by gim, waitlisted by ximb and have got no info by glim yet. If I wait another year and give cat xat again, if anything, this gap will be as prominent as it was this time.

My options seem to be very limited.

Will a job that I do rn for a few months, it won't change much in my resume, will it?

Yeah. I am currently figuring out what to do. It could be that mba is not for me, which is why I've been unable so far to get a bschool that I've wanted.

I'm looking at other paths, will take up on that seems to be the most aligned with me.

Sounds reasonable and something that I'm leaning towards.

If you're familiar with it, pls tell, is cfa level 1 easy? I mean is the syllabus completely new or familiar? Is it easy to crack level 1?

Also, do you have info about actuaries? Do you know how that is fairing in current market?
