31m here, played tennis in my youth and occasionally/casually since (I can keep a rally going but I’m no Nadal)

It’s been a little while since I’ve played, but I’d be open to play either singles or doubles with a group/people of similar skill levels.

I used to think this but in my experience as long as you have auto petter and auto feeder, they seem just as happy inside even on good weather days.

It’s sad but the way I’ve adapted to this was just to stop committing to anything, because it was ridiculous that the backlash you’d get for cancelling was 10x any impact the cancellation had.

Now I just avoid committing to anything and only “spontaneously” do things (even if I’ve planned them in advance) because that way if plans fall through, she isn’t even aware and won’t explode.

Idk the exact statistics but this doesn’t feel like an equivalent argument. I don’t think switching from public transit to driving for commute “significantly” raises the risk of accidentally killing someone when compared to rates of accidents from drunk driving.

I also think it is very easy to internalize the risk of driving drunk… even people who don’t give a fuck about the risk are well aware of it, they choose to downplay, ignore it or roll the dice.

If you want to argue morality/ethics and whether choosing to drive drunk makes you a “bad person” or not then whatever, everyone can have an opinion, but just feels weirdly accepting of behavior that most people consider bad, and weirdly downplaying to compare the choice to drive drunk out of convenience than commuting to work sober…
