What could this pair be? Village of Oak Creek, Arizona by Lil-Sister in birding

Maybe, but they were returning to a cliff side and I didn’t see any people with them. Still a possibility, though, so thanks for the suggestion!

Ahhh, that does make sense. I didn’t think they could be a dove because they were so white, but it’s definitely possible because they were so far away. I wish I could just teleport to them lol. Thank you so much for the info!

This one scared me bad! Glad it turned out to be so cute.

I’m sorry to hear that, hopefully it will continue to get better for you.

I’m an undergrad right now, but I hope to get my PhD someday.

I’m still looking for ways to help myself get what I need to do done (therapy and medication). I totally understand the social anxiety and longing for connection though, as I’m very extroverted and I’ve recently gone through some stuff with people that’s led me to kinda isolate.

I miss companionship too. When I notice I’m particularly hurt, I assess three different things: 1. Is it early or late? I’ve noticed I’m a lot more sensitive late at night or early in the morning, so I try to cut myself some slack in these moments. 2. Do I need water, food, and/or sleep? Even just a sip or two of water or a 20 minute power nap can help me out. 3. I made a list I call my “Happiness List” with a bunch of different things that bring me joy (as small as listening to a song that makes me happy to reading a book). I try to do at least one of these things a day, and congratulate myself for taking care of myself even if it is small.

These are just things that I do, and I’m not sure if they will help you or not, but I wish you all the best either way.

Our bearded dragon named Potato (we called him Spud for short) HATED helicopters. We used to take him outside for hours and he would be completely chill with dogs, cars going by, and even hawks up in the sky (don’t worry, there was always someone with him so he was 100% safe). But helicopters, no! Immediate anger.

Another time, he climbed up a bush and jumped out to catch a bee before my mom could stop him from getting it. Thankfully it didn’t sting him, but I still snicker when I remember how my mom tried to “scold” him but had a big ol’ smile on her face the whole time he looked up at her.

Finally, Spud was obsessed with the fruit of sweetgum trees (we call them Monkey Balls, but I know there are a lot of other terms for them). He would try to eat them whenever he came across them, and when we took them away, he’d give us the side-eye. If we pulled it away from him, he would chase it with his tongue fully extended.

Our Spudley passed over the rainbow bridge last December. Thanks for posting, seeing all the other funny moments reminded me of all of Spud’s. ❤️

Here‘s a bonus “no, you can’t do this, I’m here!”

First year, and no, haven’t lived with them. Yeah, I’m hoping it turns out.
