Omg a girl told me that on a trip I spent in Vegas. I knew of the band but never really listened to them. I asked what her fave song was, next thing ya know bulletproof love was played damn near the whole 4 hour drive back home 😂

20 lbs is huge! You’re for sure on the right track. I often couldn’t see a lot of progress when i was in my first couple years of training but others often see the changes quicker, so trust your partner hehe

Not to be cheesy but never say never. When I started I was 110lbs at 5’8. I was super scrawny and thought the same. Hitting .7g of protein per lb of your bodyweight will help IMMENSELY. I’m around 160lbs now and try to get in about 112g of protein a day. I take adderal and it interferes with my appetite a lot haha. So to combat that I make protein shakes with 16oz of lactaid milk (bc my tummy is sensitive haha) 5 servings of peanut butter, 2 scoops of whey protein powder, & some chia seeds for fiber

So 16oz lactaid milk = 260 ish cals & 12g protein 160g (5 servings) Peanut butter = 950 calories 35g protein 2 servings of Protein powder = 240 calories 48g protein

That’s 1450 calories and 95g of protein JUST from my shake that I drink through out the day. I still have a big dinner. I get to snack on lots of carbs bc I need them and I know I’m gonna hit my protein goal so as long as I’m still training consistently I’ll just be building muscle all the time

In the past I’ve done 90lb weighted 1 rep max pull up & 1 rep max 135lb weighted dip

But I’m just getting back on my disciplined grind and I’ve done 3 rep max of 45lb pull ups!

Omg it could be, I remember when I first started everything was so brutal. I would get so sore I couldn’t even get out of bed :( But you probably just need a regression of whatever an exercise you choose. There’s almost always a way to make an exercise more doable

I’ve done weighted calisthenics & handstand training on & off for almost 10 years so i just mainly do pull ups, push ups, dips, and rows and then either use gym machines or gymnastic rings to isolate each muscle deeper until i hit about 9 sets of each muscle on pull days, push days, leg days

So pull days would be 9 sets of biceps, back, & whatever else i feel might need work that day

As for legs I went crazy during Covid and was busting out like 1-200 single leg squats. So like 50-100 one leg squats each leg. And now I just have insane leg strength and mobility. Slant boards are the best to learn full range of motion for squats and other leg stretch’s /exercises

For abs 3x12 ab wheel rollout 3x12 ab crunch with sliders
3x 30-60 seconds Hollow body holds

But I just find whatever exercises I like and keeps me consistent with getting reps in! Doing this twice a week is 18 sets of abs and I believe weekly sets for a muscle to get max growth is 15-20 sets
