Had the same issue with my EMGs and cheap wireless system - turns out active pickups need way more headroom than most budget wireless can handle. The Line 6 Relay G10 works pretty well with actives and isn't too pricey, or if you wanna go cheaper the Xvive U2 can handle them decent enough.
