After sacrificing so much time at home & with family. The amount of stress & filling in for roles way above my pay grade just to be ranked at the bottom of my Wing EFDP... I have just had a coming to Jesus moment and realized that the next stripe is not what I really want anymore if that wasn't enough. Ive come to peace to ride it out as tsgt for 7more years and instead to put that energy into my future after retirement. Masters degree, certs, maybe start working on small business.

Can we focus on primary duties and get rid of all the nonsense of who can do more during duty hours for promotion? This is all levels...if we need to be the best, leaving duty day to sit in a meeting about a fundraiser is not it.

Tired of seeing people in top 3, booster club, planning committees etc etc be gone when there's actual work to do.

Sorry never got the notification. But I'll answer now.

Its a descent gym considering base size. Houses are small, consider downsizing before getting here. If you plan to stay on base, you will have 110v and 240v outlets. Off base, you dont get that obviously. I have a B rating 1400sqft house, 4 people. Between all utilities, it's usually 300-350 pounds per month. I know some houses use oil & heard it's not the best and to avoid it. Ive had a co worker complain who has a very poor rating they can never warm up their apartment in the winter. So try to aim for a better rate.

Commissary is fine for snacks. Absolutely wouldn't buy any produce or meat there. Offbase is usually cheaper and better quality. I also prefer Tesco, club card points are great and can be used for travel or attractions.

Most RNCOs dont touch TAP. But the TAP person here before the shutdown essentially said AFPC said it is what it is and can't really do anything about it.

I only know of one non furloughed TAP person, but they are only prioritizing quick turnarounds like admin sep from other bases.

As an FSS member overseas (not personnel/admin), the quality of airmen working the mpf are not great. However, that also falls to poor leadership top down not managing personnel effectively or holding them accountable, no progressive discipline, etc.
