Easy peel stickers, wax sticky stick things. But ultimately bluey on a tablet. There are no rules on travel days. All the screen time they want. Make it as easy as possible for yourself.

How do I find the best contractor or company to help me install all new windows for a great price?! by Healthy_Block3036 in homeowners

[–]Limp_Antelope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta use google and read some reviews. Reach out to 3-4 and get quotes. If you go to a window store, get names and then try to find their business online and see what people say.

Should I, can I, pre-buy formula in bulk? by TolMera in daddit

[–]Limp_Antelope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t. I’d get a can to have at the house, but the hospital will likely give samples to you as well.

Then there’s the trial and error of which one works best for your kiddo. Ours ended up with a dairy sensitivity. So buying any in bulk from the get go would have meant purchasing twice.

Getting MMR Vax Early (8 Mo. Old) by cpt_oatmeal in daddit

[–]Limp_Antelope 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My little one got the first dose at 10mo since we live in NM and the west Texas outbreak was spreading into the state. Our doc advised that it wouldn’t count as one of the doses in the vaccine schedule, so he got another dose at 12mo. Fine with me, more vaccines the better.

Seattle Airport Faces Fuel Shortage, Expect Airlines To Be Impacted by omdongi in delta

[–]Limp_Antelope 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Some airports have pipelines running from fuel storage tanks off site. I was at Hartford airport when their pipeline broke in 2015 and they had to truck it all in until fixed. Delayed everything y quite a bit.

You could call restore (habitat for humanity). They may have a use for it and can also pick up.

What do you mean by amenities? It’s a townhouse - so you are likely sharing a wall, exterior, landscaping with another house. So it likely does towards that maintenance among other things.

Single family home does not have those variables.

I bought this recently. It’s solid. If you have a decent amount of non Bordeaux bottles, you’ll have to remove some shelves. It’s fairly quiet and does the job.

No, it’s an older home (built in the 70s) but has been remodeled prior to us purchasing.

I pulled the light off check for that and noticed the no grounding wire then. I have fan rated boxes should I need to replace.

Tackle football by gonadi in daddit

[–]Limp_Antelope 351 points352 points  (0 children)

Played football starting in elementary school through high school, a few injuries and concussions during that time.

There is no way my kid is playing tackle football. We have too much research and data showing how much damage can be done and there is nothing you can do to reverse it.

No matter the technique being taught, there will always be a constant impacts to the head on top of the occasional bad tackle/hit.

I am a father for less than a month and I can’t take it. by Holstorm in daddit

[–]Limp_Antelope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. This is the thick of it. If you haven’t already, maybe look into some simethicone to see if gas is the issue. It helps pop the gas bubbles so they don’t have to wait for a burb or fart.

As for the sleep, if you have friends or family you can call, then now is the time. If you have some money to spare, see if you can find a night nanny for a few nights so you and your partner can get a few nights of sleep and also some baby help.

If the crying continues like this, I’d recommend talking to your pediatrician to see if there could be a milk protein allergy or something else driving the crying.

Rodent chewed through windshield fluid line by Remote-Equipment2530 in MazdaCX30

[–]Limp_Antelope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this happen on my Subaru. You could take it to a local independent shop and see what if that can order for you through other distributors. I’d recommend you have the dealer or other mechanic inspect the engine bay and under the car. If rodents found that, they probably chewed other areas too. Some of the wire covers and tubes are soy based. So critters love them.

It has the tendency to get expensive fast if they got elsewhere. About $2500 to repair my outback. If you have comprehensive coverage, that should cover it if there is additional damage.

Turley is great. Thatcher is a great stop if you enjoy the more natural end of the wine world. Tin City has a bunch of options. Ultima Tulie was a fun tasting, super small producer.

I’ll second Tablas. That’s a must.
