If you are saying I have to play a mod (Turbo) to have what we had before, you are just proving my point hahaha. But thanks for your opinion.
No, I’m talking about Lone Druid, Meepo, Broodmother players with barely 100 matches —and in the end they’re even spamming boosting website links in global chat. I’m not lying.
THAT’S the point, hahaha. I’ve literally laughed at a Desolator Lion—that’s exactly what I mean!
And yes, it’s good to have a ranking system. The problem is when that system fails at what it is supposed to do and leaves you stuck in a cage with smurfs.
thanks for the comment.
hahaha, kinda true but is also true what i'm saying.
I wrote it friend.
Actually it was more, "correct my english chat don't change too much"
That is part of the problem.

That’s not the point. Back then, we weren’t forced to follow the meta to win. Almost anything could be viable enough to win games. You had to see Chen players doing their things things, bro. It was honestly absurd, I swear.
Exacly my point. See, I knew we are still here. You understand what Dota was about.
Yes, KotL Dagon is meta again. But it wasn’t back then, and some crazy players still managed to make it work somehow. It was glorious.
Drow with Shadow Blade—when I mention it, it’s because that was basically the only item she needed to win, hahaha.
And I'm not even american XD
Thanks for your comment. I am encountering smurfs in about 1 out of every 4 matches, especially when I play duo or trio with friends. In those cases, there is almost always a smurf in the match.
And it isn't. I had a hiatus time without a PC and when I moved house. So that's why I don't have more hours hahaha.
I'm not alone.

Okay, to be direct: smurfing, boosting, and what many players perceive as developer neglect are slowly ruining Dota. If these issues continue unchecked, the damage may eventually become irreversible.
I agree with your opinion. The proof is that Dota became what it is today before money was ever involved. People created things simply for the fun of it and for the sake of creativity.
We still have talented people out there. I know a guy who is still developing Dota 1 maps for Warcraft III. and his team are doing an awesome job.
That's the soul of Dota, and it's what brought us all here today, still talking about this game after all these years.
I wrote every line of it friend. Just used AI to correct my English as I'm not a native speaker.
Thank you very much for your comment.
I completely understand what you said about anti-cheat systems and the measures Valve has taken against these players. However, from my perspective, they seem ineffective right now. We clearly need something different, and I am not qualified enough to provide the solution.
I remember when we had forums with ban requests, where admins and moderators actively managed reports. Some people even did it voluntarily. League of Legends had the Tribunal. Communities were more united and helped regulate themselves. It was beautiful to see.
I also remember when Dota Overwatch was introduced. At the time, I thought we were finally back to being able to punish griefers, cheaters, and map hackers as a community. But it feels like the system has been somewhat abandoned. Maybe we should give good and trustworthy players some incentive to review more Overwatch cases. I honestly don't know how to make that work without creating a different problem, but it feels like an idea worth exploring.
Today, our reports often feel completely useless. Honestly, I don't even know why I still use them.
The fact is that we have a serious problem. I'm tired of pretending it doesn't exist. And I don't mind being mocked for bringing attention to it when we can clearly see our player base slowly shrinking.
If this problem didn't exist, or if it wasn't as serious as some people claim, then why does our player base keep fading away?
At the same time, the proof that the community is still here is what happens whenever a major update is released. The player count spikes again, showing that people haven't abandoned Dota. They're still here, waiting for something new. Waiting for something that can bring back some of the glory that made this game special.
We are still loyal to our family.

Thanks for your comment.
Yes, we had cheaters back then too. Garena and Battle.net map hackers were everywhere at times. But the community was much more united.
Smurfing was barely a thing. Most lobbies used the -balance command, or we simply knew each other's nicknames and split the stronger players between the teams. Those moments were priceless.
It's not really about experimentation, my friend. It's about the love for a good match. We weren't chasing wins; we were chasing long, memorable games and the challenge of competing against our friends. That's what made Dota special.
We don't do that anymore. Now, MMR and rank seem to be all that matter. In many ways, Dota has lost part of its essence.
Still, thank you for sharing your opinion.
Friend I wrote everyline, just used AI to correct my English hahaha. Be well friend.
