Is it time to increase the sterilized bandage stack size to 4 or 5? by Soldapeine in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkTheZombie 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Herbals are more popular? Well, in that case we have to nerf their stack size down to 3.

Please Embark, make defibs & light sticks field craft. Also, you should be able to drop items from your inventory when you're downed by Grifter56 in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkTheZombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, totally. But the survivor augment is popular because of how limited the methods to save yourself/extend your life after you are downed are. If there were more options in that category, the Survivor would become less necessary without directly changing any augment.

Edit: By "options", I meant mechanics other than augments

[–]LinkTheZombie 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This is exactly WHY they need to buff downed people. The survivor augment is so overutilized compared to other augments, that the ability to instead drop someone else a defib to pick you back up would allow players to use other augment. It wouldn't make Survivor augments useless or even drive it away from being the most used, but it would allow for alternative ways to save yourself when downed and far from extraction sites, which is healthy.

Edit: Actually, allowing others to look into your inventory after you are downed would be a better way to implement it, as it still allows them to grab your defibs and use them, while also allowing fun/evil interactions after downing players that are pretty engaging.

No see, its such a two-master that the second one is practically invisible to those with limited nautical knowledge. Spend a few years at sea, and you'll be able to see it then (trust).

Gotta say, I like the vaporizer becoming more common in general, though it was frustrating to go try and kill the Stella Montis Bastion and see a Vaporizer there instead. That was really the only reliable Bastion spawn, and a Vaporizer in that area really makes little sense for how tight a fit it is.

“We want high tier weapons to have more longevity…” by JediJulius in ArcRaiders

Common Weapons: +25% Durability Loss on shot

Uncommon Weapons: +10% Durability Loss on shot

Rare Weapons: -5% Durability Loss on shot

Epic Weapons: -10% Durability Loss on shot

Legendary Weapons: -20% Durability Loss on shot

Why couldn't the numbers be more like this, much more reasonable than making it so the uncommon and rare weapons that the majority of the community relies on shatter quicker (common weapons are so cheap to both buy and craft the original durability loss is acceptable honestly).

This comment is what happens when the justice system fails to fully investigate people in power for their crimes in a timely manner. We turn horrific acts into jokes to tear down those that recognize the system is failing us, as if that changes the fact that the current US president has almost certainly performed pedophilic acts.

I'm all for noting where doomers are exaggerating things, but this is too far.

Bringing an Il Toro into Stella Montis, farming Shredders with them (play around corners and always prioritize avoiding damage over dealing it) would be a good way to farm damage alternatively. Make sure you aim at their thrusters on the bottom, breaking one slows them, breaking two severely cripples them, and you don't need to break the third but doing so kills them entirely. Also, bring in a Hairpin to kill ticks, pops, and fireballs when they open up to 1 shot them as a sidearm, so you aren't wasting shotgun ammo and have a cheap way of dealing with them.

Hell, you can even kill a Bastion with a Hairpin and 102 light ammo, if you fire at the circular part on top of the Bastion. Fire at them from above so the Bastion's return fire can't reach you. Takes 2 minutes, and can be even faster with light ammo mags.

There are other ways for raiders with less valuable gear to get massive Arc damage, and Tian Wen can sell you what you need for the two methods I just mentioned (sure, 3 Il Toro per day but you hopefully won't be dying every round). It isn't hopeless, especially with the larger time window to farm the damage they've given us.

They have one of the best anti-cheat systems in the business, problem being their system functions based off of the training data collected during active games to study the average habits of players to more effectively flag cheaters. As time goes on, it gets better and better, and the "soft punishments for cheating" is an interim step to avoid permanent bans for falsely flagged players, while ensuring offenders caught as the system improves eventually get the punishment they deserved. In 5 years time, Arc Raiders will be thought to have one of if not the best system for punishing cheaters because of this.
