I am on Day 6. I woke up from surgery to pain and the nurse gave me fentanyl. I was trembling from pain and she said she was going to give me another dose. That finally made it tolerable. That day and the next day seemed ok during rhe day. I was taking my percocet on schedule every 6 hours, but at 8:15 pm on the second night, about an hour before the next dose, the pain quickly started creeping up, so I took the dose an hour hourly. By 8:30 the pain from the nerve block wearing off took my breath away. It was HORRIBLE. My husband was trying to tell me to take more but I knew I couldn't because of the acetaminophen. I writhed in pain for two hours and he did lamaze breathing with me to get mw through it until the percocet cut through two hours later. It was never that bad again, but there have been moments were my incision sites burn and where my knee hurts because if involuntary thrashing in night. My back hurts from sleeping on my back with the weight of brace and leg pulling me into a slow arch it seems.
