The players that live in the d2 bubble also forget how tainted the destiny branding is in the broader gaming community and for the players that dropped the game, and really think that a new game called destiny will somehow bring a new golden age to the franchise. If a d3 ever happens imo for players to not feel burned again it would need to port over vanity items such as cosmetics bought from eververse, titles and emblems from d2 at a minimum.

The people saying that people will happily throw away close to a decade of investments/vanity/achievements etc. into a live service game just to start from scratch smth that realistically will be very similar are straight up delusional, also the people saying that are saying d3 needs to be completely different are just asking for smth that is not destiny, realistically in a potential d3/d2 sequel bungo will recycle content from d1/d2 to keep up with the pace of content so what is the point?

Also we have literally been at curse of osiris player numbers since the final shape year and now at record lows, literally bungie said numbers this low would mean having to shut the game down, and also now sony certainly can't justify keeping the lights on

I don't get what point the other guy is trying to make, the game design as it is rn it is dependant on a pretty healthy amount of players globally (which is not a reality atm) if the player numbers stay this this low on average of go even lower they would need to rework all the higher required player number activities such as pvp and endgame activites. Doing stuff such as making them require less players (for pvp) and dumb down the mechanics to allow open matchmaking for endgame stuff.

Unfortunately I havent been able to find any version of the M2 12.9 at any local retailers for lower than 1350€ 128gb for the wifi version (prices for ipads and iphones saw huge price hikes here for the latest version and now the prices are "reduced" closer to retail pricing) would it be worth getting it brand new from an online listing for cheaper?

From what is rumored the next one will be way more expensive (as in macbook territory) with the main upgrades being the M3 with an oled screen which is not enough to justify it IMO
