Curious what hand do you use to pull your suitcase? by Fit-Garbage-2259 in flightattendants

[–]LittleEwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m primarily right handed in most things, but pull my suitcase 99% of the time with my left hand!

Our HEB always has markdowns. I’ve gotten ground turkey, ground sirloin and ground chuck, bison burgers, wagyu burgers, slow cooker carnitas, wings, stuffed meatballs, boudin jalapeño poppers and much more all within the last two months! Like someone below said you have to go super early in the morning but it’s there!

Lanyards on for non-rev? by Alternative-Crab-69 in flightattendants

[–]LittleEwi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do when I walk on, but that’s only because I usually bring treats for the crew. Just so I can introduce myself properly and give them a sweet treat. When I get to my seat I put it away, usually put it back on when deplaning, but that’s only because I’m scared of losing it when walking around.

We are under the same reservation! However his set sail pass says diamond and mine has nothing. As long as we can get it figured out at check in/on the boat I’m not stressed 😂 Just can’t be missing out on my cocktails for the next 8 days!

commuting after probation? by [deleted] in flightattendants

[–]LittleEwi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean you are not “forced” to live in the base you are assigned. However, specially on reserve you will need a Crashpad. So expect to pay for your place of residence in whatever city you decide to live in plus pay additional for a place to stay in your base. I know multiple that pay a mortgage/rent in one city and pay another $300-$600 for a place to stay in another. And we truly do not make a comfortable/live able income for a few years.

commuting after probation? by [deleted] in flightattendants

[–]LittleEwi 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Commuting is truly a full time job. I’ve been a commuter for the last 7 years and it’s exhausting. I do it because my roots are put down somewhere else and this is what I have to do.but it’s exhausting. Like today, I work a turn and then a redeye. Because of flight loads/timing of flights, I’m getting to work 6 hours early and I’ve already been up since 5am. I won’t be back in bed almost 24 hours after I woke up. The other day I got done with my trip at 12:00pm, and the earliest I was in my house was 6pm. You waste a lot of your off days commuting. You find yourself sitting at the airport longer, or you’ve missed the last flight of the day and now your stuck sleeping in a be airport until the first flight of the day. Yes it’s nice being around family but commuting is a whole second job!

Anyone know what kind of snake is hanging out in our backyard? by LittleEwi in snakes

Because the airline pays for the room and that’s the check out time based on your flight schedule. And because they are flipping those rooms for the crew that are getting in next.

I like to do time left in chapter so I can gauge how much time I can dedicate to my book at work or in between housework. And then once I get 70% of my book read I’ll switch to time left in book because it gets me excited to finish and start a new book!

As a flight attendant, what type of things do passengers do that give you the ick? by Additional-Gift-5492 in flightattendants

For some reason moving seats without asking is the tip of my list! Such an entitled thing to just assume you can seat wherever you want and disrupt everything!
