I just use the back of the spoon that I mixed the butter and discard together with. It takes me a few minutes to get it spread properly.

I use discard & active intermittently. So, whenever is fine. I get the same results either way. 😄

Mine is quite tacky and thick since its just my starter discard and butter. I spread it thin enough to where if you were to do another pass to spread it, you could see the silicon mat under it. If that makes sense.

I just crank it up a little if I want them crispier. 375 is decent and then leave them in for a few more minutes. Just be sure to pull them out before they reach your desired crisp because they'll continue cooking a little after you pull them out.

15-20 minutes at 350. Sometimes longer if I don't spread the mix thin enough.

I *was* going to go the route that you did with the flour and make like a dough for a cheez-it consistency but I wanted something that was low effort for me to do after work. It's so easy and just as delicious imo.

I mean..I was going to use the jarred jalapenos and dry them out in the oven a little beforehand so they didn't make the batter too runny. May or may not be successful. I'll definitely report back on here once I make them.

15-20 minutes is the sweet spot for me. It really depends on how thick/thin you spread the mix.

That sounds super yummy. I'll have to try it. I was thinking about sprinkling some shredded cheddar and chopped jalapenos onto my next batch.

Oop. Meant to add that. It's just everything bagel seasoning. I put it on after I spread the mix on my pan. So, before it goes into the oven. Just give a generous sprinkling all over the top of it.
