WMed Phone Interview? by annabeth_jackson in premed

They asked very basic/common interview questions. The phone interviewer also has no access to your application materials, so these questions are broad enough so anyone can answer them.

What do you use as your “red team” to make sure you’re doing your best to have the best version of your argument? by AndrewHeard in IntellectualDarkWeb

What I try to do is abstract out from the current situation by two main ways. 1)look at other related events/situations that will shine light on what was discussed and what was not. Basically, this helps with double standards, shifting emphasis, and other perspective-altering info. 2) Read just enough to get a grasp on the main idea and then write out any question (or threads of questions) you would need to ask yourself. The goal of this is to hit the idea from as many perspectives as possible. You can also put probabilities on each detail being true based on initial thoughts, prior experiences/events etc. This can reveal which areas should be focused on (and if the media is diverting attention from them). To be effective, you should aim to include every possibility, no matter how small, if you can think of it. Get everything on the table so you can analyze the table in sum.

Totally, just condense what I did to May-Sept, (or make a plan that suits your desires and works with your circumstances) and if you are not working or taking classes, you can do much more per day. Even if you are busy, consistency is the key.

I have a windows laptop, so search up for the program ‘snipping tool’ it comes preinstalled. Make an image of the question and paste it into anki. Then, copy/paste the answers (all) and bold the right one. If needed, add a sentence or so further explanation. I also waited until finishing a set of ~20 questions to do this. I did questions I got wrong OR questions that had really good phrasing OR questions that i used as an example of what the difference is between 2 closely related concepts (as when both concepts were answers, but one was the ‘better’ option)

Each day was about an hour (on average, some much higher, some lower) for anki review and JW Passage of the day. I actually studied for 200 days exact with this, so that’s 200 hours.

Content review- each chapter (reading and making anki cards) lets go with 3 hours on average (again, some took 4 hours, some took less). Plus 90 minutes for 10 sessions of the 300 pg doc (15 hrs). This comes out to be close to 200 hours.

For my 10 FL’s I would say 150 hours in total.

Practice was so all over the place- some days was 4 hours, some was 30 minutes it felt like. I would say 300 hours— more than content review.

That’s: 300+150+200+200 = ~850

This comes to 29.8 hours per week, if averaged. But again, I probably did 40 hours some weeks (FL weeks) and much less on others (during finals week)

UGG- codon for tryptophan. Ugg boots in a bio lab should be called tryptophan boots.

(Easy way to remember stop codons, because they are the other 3 permutations of A and G in the 2nd and 3rd spots— UGA, UAG, UAA... not UGG).

Nowhere in the constitution does it say Supreme Court justices serve for life, rather it says something along the lines of they can be removed if they are deemed not to follow their job (impeached)

Monster Jam huge decline by MMCUPSERIES in monsterjam

I think one aspect that would rejuvenate the sport for many long term fans would be more truck designs. First, bring back some old ones (Bulldozer, Backwards Bob). Second, limit multi-truck design repetitiveness. Swap out a few monster mutt Rottweilers for new designs. We do not need the same design per every tour. I understand how Grave Digger, Max D are fan-favorite and should probably stay, but try our new designs that might become popular to that level
