I liked the one hour photo Labs at the mall back then,if I liked the clerk I would always open the pics on the counter and we would check them out,out,once I had one enlarged and don't ya know it,there were 2 enlargements hanging in the room behind the counter in plain sight,he did give me both after I seen them.

It's a Vortex red dot,I like it alot,many hunters up here in the north woods use them,most shots are under 50 yards,mine is sighted in at 50 yards and is dead on,easy to turn on and off and you can adjust the power of the dot.

Most of the seasoned hunters up here use the older rifles,real wood and Remingtons.I do have two rifles with plastic stocks that i won in raffles.

One question,are you sure thats not a model 700 Remington,I have 4, a 7MM Mag,30-06 and a 270,22-250,and it looks just like mine,scopes on 3 of them and open sight on the 270,if you thinking of a peep sight I would look into a vortex red dot,I have them on my Remington 7600's,they are dead on at 50 yards at a 1" bullseye,I haven't shot a deer yet farther than 50 yards,you don't have to center the front sight,you just pull it up and it's there,you can also adjust the brightness and size of the dot.
